I believe I called it.
The Rolex Way extends to their corporate toilet paper. Do you think they want their brand made to look this way?
As RolexUSA will do, they will place him on probation(meaning no shipments)for a pre-determined length of time.
Trust me.

I played dumb and asked what's up with this? And gave me the usual ( I can't get them speech) I said that I was looking for a GMT, Submariner or a DJ41 and explained why. He flat told me that it was not appropriate for me to ask for a Submariner.
" WTF!" I let him continue with out saying a word. But said he might could keep me in mind for a DJ if one should arrive.

Took my number and entered it in his tablet and looked up at me, he says I see your a vip customer at one of our other locations. Yes I said. Then excused his self and walked away for a moment to return with a tray FULL of Rolex's. REALLY?

Said I was welcome to choose any 2 as long as they were not the same model. JC, subs with and without date, GMT, explorer 2 black and white, DJ's. Over 40 in the one tray.

All this after he told me couldn't get any. I asked how do you expect to get new customers and young potential buyers into Rolex if you only sell to VIPs? It's our policy as are more likely to complete a sale to a VIP then someone just looking for a luxury watch. We start them out with Tissot or similar price point. While reserving Rolex for our special customers . He insinuated this was a protocol currently to preserve image and status of Rolex, hence the new layout with Rolex in it's own area just inside the doors. Rolex being the first visual brand as you enter.

I was shocked to actually hear and see this in real life. Learn 2 things as fact, They have plenty of watches and there issuing them to select customers only. Suspected this, but really never knew this to be a fact.
So what 2 did you pick?

Thank you for confirming this brotha. Hilarious as some member recently stated that this theory has been debunked.

Did not buy a thing, Just inquiring, did not expect it to develop into what it did. Time ran out and had to get to my appointment.
Currently wearing a PO, So nothing they offered was of intrest except the fact they had them contrary to there empty cases.

I did hear today that the reason they may have such a inventory was due to the stores complete remodeling for Rolex which was completed just a few weeks ago. But that is hearsay.

Do not appreciate there games. Refuse to participate.

Very weird to “inquire” and not want to buy. Why even waste a Salesperson’s time? Playing games is kinda absurd and rude. You asked for something, they looked you up, saw some history, offered you something, and you became awkward and said No not really interested, just checking though.

They must be around somewhere, someone must have saved the videos.

It was an AD that was posting some client interactions.

Earlier videos had shipments on “Rolex day.” Showed selling some of the watches and explaining about his customer profiles a bit. Wait history and other purchases kind of thing.

Was the person authorized ad or reseller?

Providence Diamond is the name of his store, and as of a few minutes ago, it is still shown as an AD on the Rolex website.

There's no way Rolex will remove their A D status straight away with fear of repercussions online! Maybe 6 months down the line but not now!
