Again, thank you all for the kind words.
I am sorry for the tough read, however, I felt the context needed to be there.
I will say, time is a healer and it has helped a lot. There are people dealing with far bigger issues and far more pain and I do keep this in mind. We all take a few knocks in life.
And besides, you never know... maybe, just maybe, I'll see it again someday.

I can't help unfortunately but I have the same model with a K serial number from 2002. Fingers crossed it will turn up at RSC at some point.

I'm very sorry for your loss it must be very painful.

Its a very sad situation but somethings sadly don't shock me anymore as I also experienced a similar event after the death of a close relation. We returned to the deceased persons house to find it had been ransacked after their funeral with all valuables gone - Stolen! The UK Police showed no interest in attending the scene or investigating.

Your sad experience reminds me of the actor James Gandolfini in Rome dying with a heart attack and the Paramedic attending him stole his watch.

Thankfully these people are few and far between. I wonder how they look at themselves in the mirror...

I am so sorry to hear about this, and as much as I don't want you to be thinking about it, I still want you not give up hope on it.
Best of lucks.

Terrible story. I wish the best for you and hope by some slim chance you one day get your watch back.

I remember reading this post before, sad story all the way around. Hopefully, you are in a position to purchase this same model watch from a trusted seller, buy the seller, and bring back all your positive memories every time you look at your wrist. Time is short, make the move ASAP, enjoy the watch, and put this behind you, if the watch ever does show up, you will have two, a good thing. Looking forward to seeing your posted pics with your new 16710!!

What a heartbreaking story. I had a Rolex (16610) disappear from my hotel room, 8 years ago, and I still think about it. But, I told myself “it’s only stuff! Move on!” Your story, though, is different. I feel your pain. More importantly, I’m sorry you lost your cousin. Maybe the watch will resurface. You never know. Let’s hope so. You might shoot up a prayer to St. Anthony, the patron Saint of lost things…. Couldn’t hurt.

Perhaps you should take Kat's advice, its only stuff, move on. You will always have the fond memories of your cousin to cherish.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Much appreciated.
Oh, and I have 'moved on', but that doesn't mean I have to give up hope of getting my watch back.
