Between those 2, I’d chose the Wimbledon but I’d never actually get one of those either.

I happen to love the Air-King, so there’s that....
But at retail? In this kooky market? Professional reference every day and twice on Sunday.
Air-King.

Surprisingly close, wonder what the tally would be if it was this model DJ?

I’m on the neither train here. However if I couldn’t choose, I am going sport all day. So AK for me. Go Explorer 39mm.

The comments seem to favor the AK. But the poll seems to show that the Wimbledon is a more popular choice. I ended up getting the Wimbledon on Jubilee. Ive never liked the AK. But given this crazy market right now, ill be honest that im feeling a bit of FOMO for passing on a Professional model in 2021.

Either way im happy with my choice. Just good to air it out on here with you gents

And it's also the one and only Rolex that I think looks unequivocally best in a TT/YG configuration (sorry, I know you're a 124273 guy ).

Neither for me. DJ41 looks a bit plain in that particular configuration (smooth bezel, oyster) and Air King looks too busy.

I voted Wimbledon before seeing the picture. After seeing the picture, I'd go Air-King. I dare say the Wimbledon is a hair overrated....and that's coming from a guy who has it and loves it. And the Air-King is definitely underrated. A lot of watch for the money.

Another comment I would add about these two models....I find the Wimbledon very washed out in everything but full sun. It's also a hard watch to photograph. The Air-King on the other hand - especially in this picture - is very clear and easy to read.

No way the air king would be close! DJ fluted + jubilee pairing could have a saltine cracker for a dial and it would still look good. DJ smooth + oyster is a modern OP Date in my book. True datejust only has one configuration.

Well it seems to be clear. The comments favor the Air King but the poll clearly shows that the Wimbledon is the winner.

I ended up purchasing the Wimbledon in that configuration and also bought a jubilee band from my AD incase I wanted to change up the look in the future.

In terms of value I think the Air King is the best choice. Your essentially getting a Milgauss but with brushed steel. its also a Professional Model. Cant go wrong there

I already have a 114060 so I wanted a pop of color and that Rhodium and Green just speak to me.

Cant go wrong either way boys

Nice choice Escobar - I really like this configuration and I lean towards the Jubilee with the smooth bezel Wimbledon and I think I will get it, but I also really like it on the Oyster. What a great idea to get both bracelets for it.

It would be interesting to hear your feedback once you have the watch, and especially after you swap the bracelet for the first time! Please PM me when you do this so I can hear your thoughts, I am very interested in this!

Congratulations

Marco

Neither for me. I actually like Wimbledon, but I don’t think it goes with smooth bezel personally.

Anyone knows if the AK wears larger than a DJ41?

I have both I'm lucky to say.... The AK does wear slightly bigger in my opinion, chunkier with more height. I love it and it gets more wrist time than any other of my SS professional models.

Both with a smooth bezel, the AK all day long.

Fluted bezel DJ, it might be a tie (I really like the AK and am waiting for one)

Wimbeldon for me. Love the unique dial colour configuration but also I feel its a much better everyday driver.

I’d go DJ love that smooth bezel and oyster bracelet as it gives a dress watch more versatility as it has a sporty feel too, but each to their own

Something else important that I previously hadn't considered a benefit of the DJ: If you decide you want a different look in future, you can also have the dial changed at service. AK is a single-configuration watch.
