My SD43 did this and it’s the only watch I’ve ever had that did. I no longer have it.

I just used a light oil on mine, Sheath, a trusted oil and it was gone. I wiped the excess off and no problems. It is only metal....904L stainless steel...this oil is good for guns, fishing reels, etc. Light and safe as anything. If you want to go the RSC route go ahead. My humble guess is that they may just do the same and send it back. Oil it that is. I am cautious not to get any oil near the watch itself because of the seals. Hey, I just thought of something, when assembling or servicing the watch they use oils, specifically designed for the surface it is placed on or in. Some of my watches get washed on occasion and I use baby shampoo for that rinsing them under the tap with luke warm water, not too hot nor too cold. I have my doubts if Subs etc are even sensitive to the cold water, not so sure of hot water. But I would venture a bet that some people wear their Rolex's in the hot tub. Or even taking a hot shower.

Surprised to hear that this is so common. I only have had the squeaks once with a new stainless Daytona. It was quite loud. My AD asked me to drop it off and was told it was excess Loctite on the links/screws. I’m not sure what the AD watchmaker did but I got it back squeak free. Perhaps it wears off in time but I’ve only had this one experience.

Lol…please do t take this the wrong way, as I’m just gonna give you a little bit of a hard time. But you cannot state your a long time lurker, then start a squeak thread! You wanting the squeak to end is the equivalent to taking your new car back and wanting them to remedy that “New Car Smell!” Once it’s gone your gonna find out the only way to duplicate it is to buy another NIB Rolex! Cannot tell you how many threads exist on this, or how many I’ve commented on over the years. What I can tell you (but I won’t) is how much money the crave for a new squeak has cost me!

I won’t be sending it off to RSC, will just try washing it with some liquid soap and wait for the squeaks to go.

As a side note I do own a number of other Rolexes including a 2020 Sub and none of them had this, hence my concern.

If you are really fed up with it just move the links rapidly from maximum position one way to the other maximum position opposite way. Worked for me with new stubborn links.

You’re right not to send it to RSC. One of my Tudors has been there for 11 weeks, no idea when it’ll be dealt with.
