Wore my 16610 with tux with silver vest. The beauty of the 5 digit is it simply disappeared under the sleeve, and does not have the larger size and shinier parts to stand out. Time is a big deal on one’s wedding day too, time for pics, this and that, be at the church, the flow of things going and staying on time is key.

Got married in a Grand Lange 1, did it’s job very well. Obviously not a watch I’d let go.

I wore a speedmaster automatic on a black leather strap. It is now permanently in my collection I guess, and reserved for special occasions.

First, congratulations! I too am getting married next month and have the same dilemma (I would be lying if I said it wasn’t something that I’ve been overly thinking). Our situation is a bit unique as I’ve been with my soon to be wife for 25 years and we’re just making it official
These are my choices and it’s between the RG YM or the BLNR. Both YMs and the BLNR were gifted to me by my soon to be wife so that doesn’t help the decision making…

Date just 36 with a suit. No matter what the wrist size. Can’t be beat.

The only TRF approved answer is you must immediately buy a new watch for your wedding.

I was gifted a SD43 on our day and wore that.

Maybe wear your Daytona on the day, and your sub on the honeymoon?

All good choices (especially Daytona).
Just don't get caught checking your watch during the big day.

To each his own, indeed.

Certainly, it's not a crime, unless the watch upstages the bride.

I'm no Emily Post, that's for sure.

Keep it simple and iconic, it’s your wedding day. I wore 116600 SD4k on my wedding

When I first started dating my wife, she took a trip to Russia with a friend. While she was there, she wanted to buy me a gift for my upcoming birthday. She knew I was into watches and she ended up buying me this vintage piece. We were told it dated back to 1899 made by a watchmaker named Pavel Bure who made watches for Russian Czars.

Little info: http://pavelburewatch.blogspot.com/p/history.html

Anyways, it only seemed fitting that is is the watch I wore when I got married. I know if isn't fancy or expensive, but the sentimental value is through the roof .

If it was my wedding day, I’d use a dressy Patek, or Lange. I’d leave sporty ones for the rest of the other days of my life.

Thanks. I’m leaning that way too. It also happens to be her favorite…so much so that she wants the 37mm.
What’s really crazy is we both requested watches for the wedding back in May and I got my BLNR in July. She’s still waiting (and hoping) to get the chocolate DJ31 with diamond plots she requested…a BLNR before a ladies DJ…crazy times!
