I dont have any deep ones.... but if i did... I know of a fabulous AD Rolex guy
that works on fixing scratches and i have seen his work. He's AMAZING!

I would get them taken care of by him. I dont mind the small ones... its part of
wearing the watch. I haven't seen that thing on the $1 trillion coin.

All in all.... LOVE the watch... wear it everyday. Its all about the metal for me.

When I bought my platinum watch, I read the same advice, so made sure I got the right number of links. I forget how expensive the links are, but they’re expensive. I have two I’ll never need, unless I sell it. On a lesser scale, I’ve heard the bigger box that platinum watches come in are kinda expensive too, so best to make sure you’re getting the right box.

I lift weights (and run, lol) and can’t imagine adding 3 links worth of muscle to my skinny wrists!

Oh, and at that restaurant with the partial lobster? I’d pay with a 20, but rip off a corner of it each time, and then eventually pay with the reconstructed 20.

Also very nice on those wrist gains. I noticed my wrists/forearms grew when I was doing more grip training. I am into bodybuilding too and for years used straps (Versa Grips) on all my heavier pulls. I got in a rabbit hole of grip training a few years ago (thanks Juji) and noticed my watch at the time, which was on a leather strap, was feeling tight using the same hole.

Very common trick applied by secondary dealers I actually remember when I bought my second day date (white gold) I counted all the links and was one short, I know this dealer very well and it was bought to order. Well when I went to collect this watch his sales assistant gave it to me (he wasn’t there) and when I questioned it she said “oh it must be this one here” conveniently stashed in the draw right next to her.

Steel links not so much of an issue they’re very very cheap but make sure you get your gold links!

I have found through the years that the vast majority are good. "Buy the seller" and make sure that the watch is fully linked before the purchase.

Almost every listing is 1-3 links short. Then they sell the links and make more money.

I've seen this with SS links as well. They provide full disclosure on the links included and size of bracelet (i.e., enough to fit an "average" wrist), and will sell you the additional links if needed.

I'll chime in...Pre Covid I bought from a very well known trusted seller on the forum. Very big seller...Got the watch, on day one called back and told them I noticed a chip in the crystal. Very small...but for a watch guy noticeable. They kinda of paused, and I was told it was a used watch, and there could be flaws or wear and tear. i'm sure if I pushed it, they would of give me a refund.

I don’t know how they can get away with it. Rolex bracelets are on the short side, to start. When I buy a new watch from any other brand, I need to remove 4 full links. With Rolex, if an oyster bracelet, I only need to remove 2, and I’m a female. So, every man with normal sized wrists, when buying a second hand precious metal Rolex, must be getting a watch that doesn’t fit him. That’s nuts!

I would always try to make sure you have the white car that is included with the sale as lots of dealers may intentionally buy or not knowingly by washes that I’ve had their dials swapped, which means they’ve been opened by some hack, and probably not tested for water resistance, and could have dust on the dial or in the movement.

Here is a great example of a new digest that actually had the dial swapped at some point and is trying to be passed off as new. A lot of people didn’t know that it was used, but you can tell that the dial does not belong on a watch with a 2023 card as there should be a coronet at the 6 o’clock, so what happened in this example is someone probably bought a brand new date just 41 and 2023 had it opened up and had a pre-2019 Wimbledon thrown on and they are trying to sell it for new

That could be a replica. I read that they sell them, with very legit looking fake cards, but no box. I wouldn’t buy any “new” Rolex, with just a card. Why wouldn’t you have the full kit, on a watch that new? Also, the AD generally hand writes the date of sale. Also, who uses dots to separate the date numbers?

When buying used, I always ask the dealer if the watch has all the links it is supposed to have. I have seen one dealer who will state how big a wrist the watch will fit when the links which were taken out are not included in the sale. Reading this, not all dealers do that. Buyer beware.

When I got my Batman from an AD 2 years ago, it fit me right out of the box. I questioned it but it was fully linked. For perspective, I'm 5'9, 175
