Actually I think this is why the watch protection film industry is booming nowadays.

Get it repaired before it spreads.
In the meantime get yourself one of these: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=824242

This is not bad at all.

Now THIS is something I could not handle, and I sent the watch to RSC.

Btw if you really want to get it out, I’d laser weld it vs polishing it. It’s just one little dot.

I’m a perfectionist too … I would have to sell that watch.

To me !!!

Just kidding. I’ve looked at your pictures 10 times, and I do not see anything … that scratch, or thread on Link 2 ???

And, I know these closeup pictures make it worse than it is. There is stuff on my watches I never see with the naked eye, that show up on a photo, and I’m thinking … what the heck is that, where did that come from !!!???

I banged my Bluesy the other day … I have not / will not even look at it / for it !!! Maybe it didn’t do anything !!!

Yours is fine … only the first 1 hurts !!!

You could get it refinished, but you have to realize how insanely minor of a mark this is and how a stainless watch you wear daily will get scratched and dinged way worse than that?

For that matter, if you are bothered by something this small, it seems very possible that you could be unhappy with any cosmetic refinishing job no matter how well done?

Leave it alone… Get it polished at service, and only polish at service intervals. You’ll be fine.

It's hardly noticeable. I would leave it and enjoy the watch.

I don't get all the "you'll get another dent" type of comments.
I've worn Rolex watches daily for over 30 years and never dented or even scratched the lugs or case, it's just called wrist awareness.
You should never get more than micro scratches on the clasp and bracelet shoulders, you're wearing a valuable item, treat it with the respect it deserves

I'm just happy to wear it. Including my 116619, 116719 116528.

Sadly as I have no wrist awareness they are scratched, dinged (more than dented), all shall be polished whenever they are serviced (twice for the 116528, it's 12 years old), the good old RSC mitigates my lack of RA!

That’s just you though. Not all of us are that careful and even if we are, things happen. Maybe the OP banged it against something or it came like that, who knows. But if it was the former, then chances are he’ll have it happen again. I wore my Omega SMP to the movie theaters and banged it against the door sill coming out of the restroom. Was walking a bit too close to one side of the doorway and with arms swinging when we walk, it was a natural accident. Put a scratch or so on the bezel but it didn’t bother me. It’s a battle scar.

I did not see it. You need to let that one go until servicing and polishing.

I know it may not make you feel any better… but that’s nothing. More will happen. I’ve done far worse. Don’t chase every dent and scratch. Enjoy your watch. It’s tough and it can take it. The watch is tougher than many of us are.

I personally wouldn’t worry about it as it still looks great and you’ll get some more from daily wear. I’m super anal with my timepieces and so many times I get my pieces polished and for them to quickly get another scratch.

And this is another reason why I prefer buying used, I like the scars...makes it easier to WEAR the watch as intended and not baby it.

I bought mine, apparently "New" unworn.

Took my Loupe and found a very similar Ding on the side next to crown guard.

Dealers can be careless and Clang watches together, when handling or presenting (not necessarily in front of you).

Wow if I had a Dollar for every "New" Rolex that's been on Wrist at a dealer!!

I was upset, but after 3-4 weeks of worrying, my wife settled me down and said how lucky I am to even have it!
Now I just wear it!!

And am happy to have an understanding Wife who puts up with my moaning!
