I would only do it watch for watch with no cash. In twenty years the steel watch could be worth more.

I really like the Blue Submariner but breaking this down, you are getting a white metal watch for your white metal watch plus a bunch of cash? Wouldn’t be good for me.

I love the Daytona, I have three. Two Ceramic and One is a zenith TT with gold bezel. I have kept the watch because it has so many memories related to my life. However it has a massive downside - the bezel gets unbelievably scratched unbelievably easy. Its had two replacement bezels in just under 30 years.

I would buy a PM Daytona tomorrow, maybe two or three in different PM metals, BUT only when Rolex puts a ceramic bezel on these PM Daytona’s. Until then (sadly) I’ll pass
