Actually, yours was my first choice. But, the slate showed up first and I took it. The slate is really growing on me. In direct light, it has more of a lighter sunburst effect, and it appears a little darker in normal light.

How do you feel it compares size-wise to the daydate? Does it feel bigger? Or jus about the same.

The DJ41 definitely wears larger, but less substantial because the RG is so hefty. I also think the black, unfluted dial gives the illusion of a much larger watch. My white fluted DJ41 wore more similarly to the DD40.
