Usually these references need to be seen in person to be appreciated. Pictures don't do these justice.

I have never thought about buying a diamond paved Rolex (mostly because my bank account doesn't agree with it), but when I do see them in person, boy... they usually impress beyond belief.

Of course there are going to be color combinations and setups that won't fit into an individual's taste (regardless of its beauty or price point), but most of these paved examples are much better looking in person than they are in pictures.

Even my wife's 31mm DJ with diamond bezel ($5k more for the diamond bezel alone), in pictures comes out dull and uninviting. But in person, every time I clean that watch for her to wear (kind of a special occasion elegant watch for her to go with more elegant night dress etc.), I am amazed at the sparkle and quality of the diamond bezel. [ EDIT: just checked Rolex website and damn, the diamond dial for 31mm DJ is now about $8k extra? and additional $2k for the diamond dial?? man, I don't know how much this Daytona in OP's post is going to cost! ]
