Incoming arrived as a surprise. I’d asked my AD to be on the lookout for the Daytona Metorite. He called me a few days later to ask if, while I wait, I also wanted the below. Love when that happens!

I have not heard of any arrivals yet.

I blame Rolex. Totally understand this will be limited and go to VIP etc, but does it really take nearly a year to announce a release before the FIRST ones ship out. Cmon man, that’s a joke.

All I can do is what I’ve been doing, waiting………………

The owner of the IG account "ilikerolexes" is USA-based and has one. Only one I've seen photos of in the wild.

Just to keep the desire lubricated.

This is a demo piece and the same one I've ordered

The wait is tantalising.

Good luck. Demo piece means “to be or will be allocated”. Hopefully it gets allocated your way

Apparently this already happens with Rainbow Daytonas and some very rare dials such as the Eisenkiesel.
Glad to hear. Flipping needs to stop..

How did you get the alligator strap? Assuming purchased seperately.

If you are addressing me and my Daytona, I had the strap custom made by a guy I’ve used numerous times. Terrific craftsmanship and you can choose pretty much anything you can think of in terms of different types of leather inside and/or outside, color and so on. The oyster flex is nice and yes it is sporty (I also have a WGYM42 that came on an oyster flex) but adding the alligator to the yellow gold, in my opinion, made it just a touch nicer and also personalized it. Strap guy is Dangerous9straps.com

So they are out there but not to the level of what I would expect.

Hi Mr. Scooba, I think it will be very hard. You could consider the older 116519 non-ceramic meteorite if you're open to that.

This is the one I’m after. It’s simply gorgeous to me and represents everything I love about Rolex.

I’m relatively confident I’ll get one but the wait is going to be excruciating and it’ll take what it takes. Rarely am I patient, but I absolutely will be for this one.

Thank you. I too have thought about “dressing up” my watch with an alligator strap.
Did you find it easy to put the strap on ?
I envision myself occasionally alternating between the alligator and the OysterFlex.

There’s no movement in it. Hence why these demos are always showing 10:10

Uploading pictures is frustrating. Imagine a 116518 that is YG with a meteorite dial. I was lucky enough to get that watch. It is awesome. I can’t resize my pictures small enough.

I heard the same thing and I own the Green dial Daytona and most of the other hot models.
My AD said they still havent seen one and I have no reason not to believe him.
When you start seeing lots of them on Chrono24 then you'll know that they've been released

Buy maybe not if VIPs are going to loose their status.........I suspect in some areas of the world this will never happen as the country Rolex GMs just don't care.
