Congratulations. That was my dream watch 25 years ago and should have bought it then.
Oh the things we regret....

I contacted the AD on 16 December to express my interest in this model, got the text on 21 December saying there was one available. Never expected the wait to be so short - timing is everything I guess!

Awesome, I didn't know you could get a Sea Dweller with a cyclops lens. Congrats!

It's a substantial watch but not nearly as bulky as the Deep Sea. The SD is wearable under a cuffed shirt and is not nearly as "top heavy". The key to the wearability of the Deep Sea is the bracelet (which is fantastic) - adjusted properly the "top heaviness" goes away almost entirely. But still hard to wear under a cuffed shirt because it is so tall. Have never tried on a Sky Dweller so I can't offer a comparison there.

It's the most recent iteration of the Sea-Dweller.

It wears slightly larger, and is thicker as well, of course. Both shown below in an attempted comparison.

Great shots. What do you find more comfortable? Sub41 or SD43?

Sea Dweller 43mm is a beautiful watch that set the tone for new Submariner proportions. Super slept on gem in the current collection
