Hi Brian,
It’s a 1948 Rolex Tudor cushion case (bought it for my birth year) 9ct with a 59 calibre movement, manual wind 17 jewel Swiss lever. Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1948, dial refinished in gold with black Arabic numerals and original blue steel baton hands. Glass and crown are new to the original specification and the strap is a generic strap new old stock from 1950. 28 x 39mm without crown and 16mm lugs. E

6.75 inches
40mm 42mm i.e. Explorer II feels too big, and DJ36 feels too small for me. 40-41mm is a nice goldilocks zone for me. |

My wrist measures in at 7 inches and is incredibly flat. My smallest watch that I currently own is my 114060 Submariner at 40mm.
I've previously owned multiple Omegas and a Rolex 16570 Polar, all in the 38-39mm range, but moved on from each of them. While each would look at-home on a 7 inch wrist, my forearms are quite large (from power lifting) and tend to make any watch less than 40mm appear much smaller than it actually is. I miss that 16570 Polar dearly and wish that I could have pulled it off, but how that watch looked on my particular wrist only ended up annoying me. |

7.5 in wrist, 36mm DJ right now. But have used 34 in the past. I tend to think its a matter of getting used to how it looks

I have a 7.5" wrist. This was my dad's 1955 Seamaster Automatic. 34mm. Small but I love it.

6.75inches, 36mm. DJ36 is perfection, but so is a 16610. Anything bigger than 41mm looks stupid.

6.5 inch wrist. Right now it’s my 37mm YM which I love size-wise. Especially in the warmer weather with short or rolled sleeves.
I’ve had 34 and 36 in the past and I generally prefer smaller sizes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

6.75" wrist.
My smallest (current) Rolex is a DJ 36mm. I used to own a 34mm vintage OP (1962) inherited from my uncle (who bought it new) but, sadly, that one was destroyed in a house fire five years ago. I do own a couple of vintage 34mm watches (Junghans from the 60s, Benrus from the 50s), and my smallest watch of all is a rectangular Bulova from 1937 -- 22mm wide, 37mm lug-to-lug. Oh, and then there's the late-20s Waltham which is around 30-31mm. My newer watches tend to be in the 38-42mm range, although my Alpina Startimer is 44mm. That's quite a range of sizes. I'm happy with small for vintage and/or dress watches, 40+ for dive/pilot watches, but 38-40 seems to be the best overall for me. |

Wrist size is 6" (154mm). Smallest watch is a tiny 30mm Cartier Santos octagon that I got as a gift in the mid-1980s.
It doesn't look too small here: But it does next to my biggest watch! |

7 inch wrist. Here's my first decent watch. It was a birthday gift back in 1992. It's a Hamilton 6210 Registered Edition. It was special because my mom told me that she had the same one growing up, back when Hamilton first issued these. The 6210 was a line that Hamilton brought back in the '80s and they re-issued previously released designs from the '50s. There are some other fun ones that have blued hands and elaborate fonts on the dials, but I'll save that look for a classic JLC or something else automatic.
It's only 14k plated, quartz, about 33mm, and the strap has been changed a dozen times. I can see the watch needs a good cleaning since it has just been sitting in my box for years and is dirty. Not sure what that green stuff is? The strap is a basic black croc and is clearly long past its prime. If I were to ever wear it again I would go back to the burgundy color it originally came with or maybe an ostrich. I think the black is too plain but at the time I swapped it I wanted to try something different. It looks pretty dainty next to my OP36. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk |
