I do and I am doofus.

$245 for a non rolex OEM strap is a lot. I would be open to paying that if Rolex made it.

Just because I own these pieces doesn’t mean I can’t separate cost from value. We are talking about rubber straps….

Also I was just asking because this is my first time buying these straps and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t getting ripped off.

Question on the fixed/fitted straps for the sub like rubberb etc.. they all seem to maybe have some flare/rigidity beyond the lugs? Do they pull straight down like a straight end more traditional strap? or wear more like a bracelet with fixed protruding endlinks?

Tried a few cheap rubber straps from aliexpress. Couldn't get *one* to fit my Sub (at least not without exerting enough force to send a springbar through the wall if it slipped out).

Bought both RubberB and Everest. The Everest holes are closer together, so it's easier to find a better fit (6.5" wrist).

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't like the look of straps that are fitted like end links, a la RubberB and Everest. I prefer the look of a traditional style strap with gaps between the spring bar and case.

If I was comfortable safely switching them back and forth, I’d absolutely buy a rubber b for my Daytona. I just know I’d want to switch a lot and concerned with beating the watch up unnecessarily.

Rubber B all the way. I bought my first two Rubber B straps this year and they are top notch quality and fit and also extremely comfortable to wear. Don't cheap out and get a crummy knock-off on eBay. You won't find better than Rubber B. I used to own an Everest strap and honestly Rubber B just does it better.

I had the Everest black rubber on my Air King 116900 for the last 2-1/2 years and just changed it back to the oyster on Monday. No complaints about the Everest. They're well-made and very comfortable and fit perfectly. Thought it was time to go back on the oyster and it really looks much better and heavier of course. Can't go wrong if you decide to go with the Everest.

I’ve owned both RubberB and Everest, and, honestly, I prefer the Hirsch Pure, and even the FKM straps from places like Straphabit.

Yes - - - I would do it again. It is likely they will last several lifetimes, too.

I did not choose any other brands as there was so little feedback on them.

If you read up, the manufacturer probably says that they should be replaced every few years. Could be indicative of the quality rubber that is used.

I like the Rubber B, but just read on this thread that Everest might be better for larger wrists. I'm at 7.75" and the Rubber B is on the last hole (non glide clasp).

I have large wrists too 7.5" and heard the same thing. For my watches it hasn't been a problem. I think it has to do a lot with the long L2L length on the two watches I pictured above. Both are 50mm L2L so the downturn of the strap at the lugs is much less of an issue than it might be on a more compact watches. YMMV

I'm on the third hole from the end on the Tudor by the way. The SD43 uses the Rolex Glidelock clasp.

Price aside, and I have many different types... this works best for me. Very skinny tip width for those close fittings. Unlike the pic on their web page, I hold it at the front to be 'on top of' the spring bars.

Have owned both Everest and Rubber B, both are good. Also have been recommended to try Horus straps, not tried personally yet. Bought a strap for one of my MoonSwatches from Wristbuddys. Surprising a good strap for the money. Arrived from Sweden pretty quickly.

Just installed the RubberB moments ago. Price aside, the fit and color are great! My wife happily started mentioning my shirts that she loves that goes with the blue.

I'm with you on Horus. I bought two of their straps and I was rather disappointed. More than anything, they are short.

I've owned a Rubber B. The quality was top notch, as was the fit. But I found it a bit too stiff for my liking so I sold it.


I also tried ABP R strap premium. I personally liked it much more than the Rubber B. I thought it fit the watch better (there is virtually zero gap between the strap and watch head), and wore more comfortable because it's more supple.




The clasp that comes with it is pretty flimsy and cheap feeling. I am trying to find a OEM rolex clasp for it.

Anyhow, I would personally give ABP serious consideration. But Rubber B is a great choice as well.
