Too much money for a watch with no history or watch brand credibility. Hard pass.

It's a bit spartan. Can't see myself buying one, but this will definitely sell to the Leicaphile crowd. Leica knows its customer base very well.

Looks like they took a bit of Nomos style language, I would buy the Nomos. I have an old school Leica mechanical camera (M3) which is older than me but I love it because of the bright viewfinder. My affection for the camera and couple of lenses I have does not extend to this offering however, it is a brand extension exercise that I don't love. Weirdly brand extensions seem to work, e.g. the spate of SUV's made by formerly sports car manufacturers so my opinion probably doesnt mean much, maybe I'm a purist, too conservative or too stuck in my ways.

Well I guess they have to come up with new products to make … camera sales took it on the chin when cell phones took over

I wont put this in the category of a "fashion watch," but agree it is a ton of money and I don't know much about movements by Lehmann Präzision. It also sounds like there are more to come. In any event, Leica is still on their camera game and my money is better spent on a new lens.

I actually like it! The ""shutter" crown is very intriguing.
I think they look sharp and I would actually consider the L2 if I was able to. |

I’ve always admired Leica cameras but have been a happy Fuji and Sony shooter. When the Q2 Reporter was announced that was the tipping point for me.
Kevlar and scratch resistant paint?!? :D Unless the watch was a freebie with the camera I won’t be wearing one. It’s nice but not $10K nice. And there’s no way I’d wear the GMT over my BLNR. |

If you look a bit into the (very unique and fine) details of the Leica watch, 10k for it sounds like a bargain compared to the msrp for a Sub Date ( which you won‘t get for this price anyhow).
