Look in the crown head there is a rubber seal and if you did first get it to line up god knows why.In use over the years the seal does wear a bit so over the years of use till next service it would not line upright.

Its fine so now you can start worrying about the fact that you've over tightened your crown and damaged the seals

FWIW, most forum members can't see the crown without readers. I believe only the original PM SkyDs are supposed to align.

I'm thinking of selling my Audi. None of the spokes on the rims line up as they should, and there are four to worry about!!!! I'm thinking of going to the dealership Monday and get them serviced.

What a disaster! Well the watch is now worth less if the crown doesn't line up. Sell it.

Don’t listen to the nay sayers here. The crown should line up perfectly straight. You paid a premium for Rolex quality and excellence.

Pull the crown all the way out, and I mean all the way out of the Watch until it comes out of the watch entirely. Then reinsert it until it aligns perfectly straight. Then throw the watch in the garbage since it will then be worthless. Hope that helps!

If you brought this issue in for service at the NY RSC, those two very pretty Rolex representatives at the front desk would stare at you for five seconds totally speechless....

Then they would say, "Oh that can be aligned for $850".

Where did you buy the watch from? It's one of the things you check when buying a Rolex to ensure that it's a genuine Rolex.

I'm sorry but it's a sign that your watch may be a fake or a Chinese clone watch.

It's these little attention to detail that distinguishes Rolex from cheaper brands.

If I ever bought a Rolex from anywhere other than an AD, and the crown DID line up, I'd be very worried.

So much OCD on this forum. It’s amazing how much angst the most minute issues bring into our lives. Sad!!

This place is not so much of a watch forum anymore.

Apart from the constant “investment” threads or market speculation, it’s mainly a place for OCD sufferers to talk about and share stories about their illness.

My Sub crown lands perfectly upright.

Guess we should ask for $1,000,000 when I die and my wife sells it.

Good idea!

It's all about health, happiness & family. The rest are just necessary inconveniences we have to deal with.

This place is the most OCD forum I've ever experienced or imagined.

It can be amusing or sad depending how badly the poor sod gets roasted for asking an OCD question!

See below the mechanism behind it. One of the nice perks of owning a gold SkyD, which is the only Rolex model with this feature
