Aug. 2006. By circumstance, fortunate to be in Geneva, Switzerland. Walked into Bercherer's, 45 Rue du Rhone, while wearing my Pam 88.
Purchased my Sub Date.

Omega Seamaster Pro 2254. I still probably wear it the most of all my watches.

If I know I'm picking up a new watch I usually wear no watch and wear the new one out of the store.

I paid cash.

Every time I see a pic like this, I think: "Damn, should have gone 114270 instead of 16570 back in '09, what a classic!"

I was wearing a white Hanes T-shirt, and a pair of Levis 501 jeans.

(Honestly, I don't recall my underwear but I might have gone commando.)

I was wearing this old Orvis quartz watch, which all of the numbers had fallen off of, when I picked up my BLNR. (my first Rolex)

The AD asked if I wanted to put it in the Rolex box to bring it back home. I still laugh thinking about that!

It is still my go to on days that I am working and don’t want to destroy a watch of any value.

As for attire - blue jeans, work boots, sweatshirt, black dirty Columbia jacket, carrying a hardhat and backpack.

Commando is OK with Levis 501s because of the button fly. I wouldn't try it with a zipper fly, though...

One of my Tags, the SA at AD gave a travel case for my tag that day and wore the Rolex out.

Clothing wise… most likely running shorts and a hoodie. Worn 90% of the time if I don’t go from office.

1966 Oysterdate for me, a watch that was much older than me! but the first watch owned. It was cool and understated, though perhaps a touch too small. I was picking up my 36mm Datejust.
