This is absolutely nuts.
"Let's take the 3 colors that are bringing a premium on the aftermarket and discontinue them."
For what purpose? To aggravate your customers more?
To further enrich gray dealers?
To make sure you buy every model just in case they discontinued them?

It must be nice to make PR mistakes one after another with no consequences.

Stockx seller is asking 92k! Bids won’t go that high but will be interesting.

Just buy grey if you really want it. Only option at the moment. Don’t see a re-introduction happening ever.

Discontinuing these was absolutely the right move.

When people want it....stop making them.

FOMO is the biggest prime mover for luxury brands in the current market...with that..sometimes you have to actually have to have people MISS OUT to keep that FEAR real.

DO NOT MISS OUT.

The thing with Rolex is ,they are faceless in the company .
No person in the team to blame for the decision.

I dont even have a picture to throw a dart at !

Thanks! You made me laugh out loud but you are 100% correct. Think of all the hubbub every year about which models are about to be discontinued…and then nothing changes.
This time it really happened!

I never thought of it that way, but you’re right. Creating a customer base that’s afraid of missing out on the next oddball craze is genius.

DO NOT MISS OUT.
That would be a good reason IF they were having trouble selling items.
But that is not the case here. It is the opposite.
They discontinued something that never made it into the stores.

I was on the waiting list at 3 AD's and have never seen one outside of a photo.

With the Tiffany and other OP colors being discontinued, how will this affect prices of the green OP and the other remaining OP colors?

Probably price will go to the roof for the Green.

Black and Silver will be the staple so there’s more price stability.

I'm a bit disappointed but, at the end of the day, it's still just a watch. Even if they kept it in production, it seemed likely demand would always be crazy around this neat color.

I have no idea what their logic is in discontinuing it as it's probably not like they needed to do so to move other Rolex stock or keep interest in the brand.

Looking at Chrono24 today I see the OP41 Tiffany seems to average USD 40-45K - so thats an almost 9x increase over MSRP - where does it end - can it get to be 15x - 20x ???
