As a left-handed right-wristed wearer, I love it. I'm all in. Thank you, Rolex.

Maybe, well probably, but there are people who can't find it with microscope and a floodlight.

Time will tell, though.

Not quite that easy. The movement and crown move together if you turn it 180 but the crown hole on case is still on the left side.

Left Hand GMT, simple ?

I would guess next year will be a right handed version.[/QUOTE]

According to Jake from the Rolexmagazine.com, he was told by Rolex that the green and black bezel be reserved for the GMT "with the crown on the left”.

Doubt it will happen.. that would kill any quirkiness this watch has. It’s a once in a blue moon kinda watch IMO

Exactly. No green and black will have a right hand movement and no Pepsi/Batman will ever be on the left movement, Rolex told me. Rolex wants it to be distinctive so that by just looking at the bezel, you can tell it’s a RH or LH movement. Rolex also told me the challenge was not to build the watch but to retool the testing technology for superlative chronometer certification with a left hand movement and right-wrist use simulation.

That’s sad. I love the watch. But hate the lefty.

I was so excited when I saw the first pic. And then immediately let down.

Will never buy unless they make a Righty normal version. Maybe they’ll listen to the masses but I doubt it. Because they’ll be enough people buy it to just collect it and never wear it.

Would be hilarious if it it had zero sales. Then they’d notice

The easy part is getting the cyclops and date window on the opposite side.

If you want a lefty to be able to wind their watch the same way a righty does (thumb rolling forward to wind), and to change hands with the same motion, you need to do a bit more magic with the movement.

I have not heard if this has been done with the new GMT.

If Rolex won’t make a RHD version…

And if they’ve made it so bezel won’t fit on the 116710LN, which would be the easiest way to mod this… (are the dimensions that different? Seems the easiest thing to do).

Wouldn’t the easiest thing to do be get a BLRO, and buy the green/black bezel and buy the green GMT hand and swap it? Then it’s a RHD version.

I wish they’d just offer it in both versions. Then there wouldn’t be all this hate.
The lefty’s or the people who want to grab it because they think it will be low production can get that one, and everyone else can get the one they want that isn’t offered.

Their sales would be 20x higher.

I swear they did this just to get everyone talking about it. And bring more attention.
Negative press is still good press.

They’re trying to one up Will Smith.

If they don’t offer this next year in RHD, I’m just going to buy the LN from a gray.

Hmmm, trying to get my head around this.

I think you might be correct, but may also be wrong.

Now my head hurts

That is the easiest one to tackle by simply pulling the hands off while the watch is stopped in the 6 o'clock position and reassembling them to 12:00.

2, Dial printing, the other way up

3, New date wheel with numbers inverted.

4, Cyclops on left rather than right or have they not even bothered with this and the LEC is at 12

Or am I missing something ?

I like the black/green bezel, but left handed, just looks weird.

I would guess next year will be a right handed version.

Yeah pretty much it. Reverse the direction you pad print the date wheel. Make a new fixture to hold the dial 90 degrees from the original reprogram the hour marker install machine. Poof you have a weird Rolex that no one ever though would exist. I’m sure in a year this is going to be stupid rare and cost 10x retail.
