Very nice, congratulations.

This was my first Rolex, I bought it in 2017.

In fact I am picking it up tomorrow from RSC. I haven’t had it since December and I’m looking forward to getting it back.

As for the dial color, i requested a swap to blue and was refused. Maybe in the long run it will turn out to be a good thing. I do love the blue as well. Either way, it’s a beautiful piece.

Enjoy it OP, it’s definitely special.

Hi John, believe it or not, I remember when you got your years ago, and when I was on the fence of doing this, your thread came up...you have a great watch and am anxious to see it as well when it comes back from RSC. On another note, why did Rolex refuse the dial swap??

Congratulations! I'm biased but that is one of, if not the best GMT ever produced. Great move!

That's really nice. And with the original black dial.

Congratulations.

Wow Nicholas! I can’t believe you remember that thread. My first.

It is a great watch, you will love yours no doubt.

Regarding the dial swap, I didn’t get a reason. When I received the RSC report it only stated that a swap was not possible. I believe some owners got to swap dials when the blue dial was released mid 2018. From what I know, this was only offered for around a year. Maybe this can be confirmed by others.

I do like the blue dial and I debated in my mind for several years as to whether I would swap. In the end I decided to request it as I have several black dial watches and I do enjoy the vibrancy of colored dials. It’s not to be, I get it back tomorrow with a new bezel and I am keen to see if that is much different to the original. I am not disappointed - I just want my watch back!

Congratulations again. Before I forget, tell us how you got yours.

The font size on the bezel and the overall look and weight of the "grey gold" seems really special. One of my favorites - congrats!

Here's mine next to a WG Sub, which is more comfortable to wear but not by much.

I have to say after a few days wearing this, I am impressed with its wearability. I can wear this with anything and not worry too much about the eyeballs scoping me out. Love the white gold

WG is the best. Ever since I got my WG sub I refuse to wear anything else. Stealth is an understatement. I love the confused looks I get to lol. That WG gmt black dial has been on my radar for few weeks now as well. And I used to have a 116618ln as well. Although not as loud as the LB still very much in your face. Congratulations

It is indeed a stunner. I’d get the navy blue dial but whatever..,you’ve got an incredible reference. Congrats!

I will try it out like this for a bit, it’s a 2018 so I still have warranty in the event I want to do a dial swap to the blue. I am going to give it some time like this. I already have a blue dial watch anyway. Thanks to those who nudged me a bit for this.

Icon10 A Real Head Turner! ---->

I mean for those who know what they are looking at...

It looks great on you and the wear ability is way up there. It is just a cool piece to wear in just about any occasion.

It took me Years of trading and selling WG Rolex Watches, but this one lays flat on the wrist and feels like some previous years Platinum watches...

You made the right move with the black dial as it is Original.

I believe it also has the Mark I Dial as well.. If that's the Case, you may have a Trifecta of collect ability...

Congrat's!

I prefer the blue dial, but if I had the back dial I would keep it OEM. You can always sell and buy the blue dial version. Either way, the WG feels substantial on the wrist and is a great piece.

Fantastic yet subtle. Congratulations.

Personally I like the black dial, but with a blue dial available you have some choice, which is better than no choice.

The only reason I am hesitant to change to the blue dial is because I already have a blue dial. And it is a blue that makes me happy !

Bumping this back up as an FYI, i dropped my 116719 off at NYC RSC on Friday. They allowed me to do the dial swap from black to blue and will let me keep my black dial. They would only do it with a full service. Total cost with the swap + service is $1,500.

I also asked them not to polish the watch which was also ok. Watch is from 2015 so i didn't mind the service aspect of it.
