now that the SS Daytona is more readily available in the US, therefore the grey dealers may have to lower their "MSPR + premium" price to attact buyer buying from them. |

I've noticed there seems to be an endless supply of Daytonas and they are usually selling at retail...

Retail is still about 20% higher than you would pay an AD for almost any other current Rolex model. That says a lot about the staying power and demand for SS Daytona. I am happy that I was able to find one thanks to the down market. I was afraid that waiting until the market recovered would make the SS hard/impossible to find again. I guess if you have the money, desire and opportunity, grab it! -Pete

Have the prices dropped and availability risen? Absolutely. When I got mine from an AD two and a half years ago, you couldn't get one, period. I paid $7,900 and could have sold it for 12K. Now, because of the tough two years, there are more out there and the price is much more reasonable.
HOWEVER, if anyone tries to say, that there are as many SS Daytona's sitting in display cases as GMTs, or DJs, or Subs, or just about any other model, and/or you could buy one for below MSRP, sorry, but it's just not the case. I don't THINK it ever will be, but no one can say for sure. |

Loads of people joined waiting lists 5-6 years ago and when they get the call from an AD many of them can't spare the cash so grey dealers snap them up. The only place I have ever seen SS white/black Daytonas is at Changi Airport in Singapore.
