I honestly can't tell if that model has a yellow hand or an orange hand. Every single photo seems to show a different shade. Will have to see one in person sometime.

B&J reviews it and points out that the crystal is relatively thick which adds to the overall thickness but means visually it's not really flabby at all.
For 200M water resistance one should expect that strength to come from somewhere.

But it's OOS at the local AD of course (must spend a mere $20k to get on the waitlist for the waitlist, instead of $100k? )

I couldn’t dislike a watch more than this Tudor abomination. Pseudo-ripoff design that uglies itself up with fake patina, those horrible snowflake hands and small size. Reminds me of obnoxious neighbor who never showers … yuck!

Ha!

Well I haven't seen it and I'm not in the market (already have an Exp 2.) I generally don't like fake patina either and think Tudor is making a mistake by running the snowflake hands on virtually every watch they make. And the faux rivets alone would torpedo the watch for me.

Still I can see why some would like it. Positives:
- True GMT
- Great water resistance
- 'Explorer' design
- Great clasp
- 70h power reserve
- COSC certified
- Good 'value'

Maybe you should spend more time finding a better neighborhood than critiquing someone's choice of jewelry.

He's not critiquing anyone's choice. He's critiquing a watch.

I know the difference.
Wife: "How does this necklace look on me?"
Me: "Like crap!"

That's critiquing a choice.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
But not really. That watch is undeniably hot!

The Pro video on the other hand was well done, though she did freak me out for a second when she claimed her wrist was 6.5". It had me asking myself if my Pro looked that out of place on my 6.5" wrist as it looked on hers. Luckily she corrected her mistake in the comments (5.5" wrist) and I can continue blissfully living in denial that the watch isn't too thick.
I've been watching her video's for a while and was confused when she said 5.5". I knew she had said her wrist was smaller in earlier video's.
I have a shade under 6.5" and tried it on and although thick, still looked good on my wrist IMO

Gringa is not one for details - could easily have a few drinks in her. Watch her earlier videos, she had the Scotch right next to her!

Still she doesn't take herself or any of the watch community seriously - these days that's a good thing

I like Watch Gringa. However, I do not like the Pro. It looks dated because it is dated, and this is my biggest pet peeve about all of the Tudor 2022 launches from W&W.

Oh yes, I’ve seen the early videos. She still has a drink with her every now and then. I find her very entertaining

she gives off the impression it's all done on the hoof. Her knowledge is gained as she goes rather than imparting. she's obviously following trends rather than making them imho
if it was a bloke she'd be hounded off TY. it's only because she's a girl (if anyone is even allowed to say such a thing in this "what is a woman?" modern world) she gets away with it.
nothing against her personally as she's working it but someone such as Jenni out guns her in every way.. but that's what I think, let me know in the comments what you think etc etc

ps: as a watch it's not for me either.

Never considered that angle. And now that I have - I don't care. IMO there's room for her in in the realm of YT watch fans.

How Gringa currently stands out:

- Genuine fan
- Funny! (Even if it takes a couple drinks! )
- Not rich
- Just a WIS... doesn't pretend to be an expert
- She's not trying to sell something

FWIW I don't have a YT account nor do I 'subscribe' to any of these people. YT just suggests content to me. In the end the number of views will judge if someone deserves a YT slot or not. Live and let live.

Hi Dan - who's choice did I critique? OP was pointing out that Watch Gringa reviewed it, which sparked people's comments. Would you prefer that only people who LOVE Tudor's be allowed to gush their glowing comments? That said, had the OP said he got the watch from his wife or Mom, I would either have not commented at all, or would have said, that's a lovely sentiment. However, when Watch Gringa calls this "The Thinking Man's Rolex Explorer II 1655", well that's just ummm .. wrong.

There are some Rolex references, as well as those from other brands I could pick apart because they don't meet my specific standards. But there are many here who love them and consider them grails. Why would I want to piss on their parade? Different strokes and all. Nothing wrong with having a personal preference. Maybe it's the glee you seem to derive from hyperbolic analogies. It's all in the delivery. Which goes for me as well.

Good point. No glee, but can see how passion comes across that way.

Tudor has so much going for it - great materials, solid movements, heritage, which is why this watch and some of their others disappoint me. I wish these were legitimate alternatives for my taste … but I’ll try to tone it down so otters won’t think any less of watches they love.

I got a new explorer II polar last week, but honestly, the BB Pro is cooler.

I got the explorer II because it's lovely, and I was lined up for one and you don't say no to steel sports. But as soon as this becomes more widely available and it wouldn't be a favor getting one, I'll be snapping it up.
