I gave my GMT to my son at graduation, and then bought an Explorer but found I missed the the date (and gmt) so bought a 216570

When it comes to watches without the date window; I have the 114060 and I also have a classic Pam Radiomir. Do I miss the date when wearing these watches? Not one bit. Do I glance over at the date window when wearing my other watches that do actually have it. Yes. But it's only because it's there, nothing else. :)

If you really need to know the date = check your phone or the computer. ;)

Cheers,
Joe

Me too. I have a few older pieces and I rarely set the date. Just wind and set the time and go. When I had my 5726, the only time the day/date moonphase was accurate was the day I left the ad lol

i still write lots of checks for my business. by force of habit i'll look at my watch for the date, and inevitably i'll be wearing a daytona that day...

I don't really miss it... I'm about 50/50 overall with my watches that have a date and I rotate often so it's not a big deal... For Rolex specific I have a BLNR, SubC, Exp, and DaytonaC so more no date than date...

A lot more is happening in my life nowadays and I need the date: work project kick-offs, birthdays, kids appointments, etc.

I'm on the books for a GMT as I deal with about 5 timezones a day, but obviously with an actual requirement for the GMT, I know I'll probably not get it anytime soon

I was originally on the list for a Sub-Date, but the no-date came up first. Was asked if I'd like that instead, jumped on it. I have other (much cheaper) watches with date complication, but I like the no-date sub.

I never thought I'd care about the "symmetry" people were talking about with the no-date but once you have it, it clicks.

I got an explorer 1 and I miss the date yeah, but it's also nice to have some variety, I plan on keeping it for life most likely, but I am planning on getting a YM1

I don't think a date function would do much for the look and visual balance of my Z Blue. I'm happy to forego it, although generally, I prefer my watch to show the date.

I get by without a date very well.

It's not hard.

I'm wearing my 14060M today.

Taking my phone out of pocket frequently to tell time drives me crazy, but i find the lower frequency of needing to know the date is perfectly suitable for getting out my phone (or, when applicable, glancing at my laptop.) it also helps me work the old memory muscles a bit more.
yup!!! I just check my phone for date once for the day.

I miss the day and the date, which is partly why I mostly wear day/date Grand Seikos and Seiko Divers these days.

yes during a work week i really miss the date. I love the daytona because i love chronos and the size but my patek, DJ, and grand seiko get more wrist time because for 5 days of the week i want a watch with a date on it.

Date or not date is fine. I just hate the cyclops. So unnecessary and all the gunk that gets caught up around it.

I found I need it. I bought an Explorer, thinking I wouldn’t miss the date, and after a few months, sold it and went back to the Datejust because I kept looking down for the date. My .02, everyone is different!

Date functions are overrated. I like it on my Rolex, but setting a watch without a date function is nice.

I use the date function occasionally, but truth be told, I just love the look of the cyclops. Iconic Rolex feature. If I only had one, it would have the date. But when I wear my Explorer, I never miss it cause that dial wouldn't be the same if it was date-6-9!

If I wearing a non date watch I don’t miss the date.

Prefer no date on occasion. So easy to just set and go.

I don’t have great memory, but a glance at the date on my iPhone in the morning, and I can remember it all day.

Maybe I have better memory than I give myself credit for?

My trio all have one thing in common, not a date to be seen anywhere. Shocking stuff, I know!

I have watches with the date function and watches without the date function. I think I prefer watches without a date, but some of my favorite watches have a date.

I’m basically neutral here, but I basically went the entire month of May with the date set wrong on my Seamaster. I never adjusted it on April 30th/May 1st.

I try my best to make certain the date is set right, but I just don’t actually rely on my watch for the date anyway.

I always check the date... Not 100% sure why, but I feel like I need one on my watch. I've sold off all of my watches that didn't have dates and haven't looked back, though I miss the symmetry.
