I'm from Thailand. Short answer: no chance.

The service will be very good and they staff are very nice. However, I doubt they will even take your interest into consideration if you are not local. If they do note your interest, you will wait for a very long time.

Your best bet would be Bangkok Airport. Hopefully you are very very very lucky.

And it is safe except if you want to go out partying ;)

Enjoy the holidays and the beaches!

I will go with no expectation obviously.

BTW, How risky is it to travel in Thailand with a Rolex?

I wanna go with my polar.
I wore my Rosegold day date in Bangkok, felt safe to me. Los Angeles on the other hand...

Very small chance for a DJ or OP, zero chance for any of the rest.

I would find a local AD. You have essentially complied the greatest hits wish list. They know you’re interested in those watches, so is everyone else on their list, minus maybe the DJs. If you’re not already buying from them, no real benefit in selling any of those to a tourist.

Your enthusiasm and positivity is admirable.
However, your chances are so slim, you’d be better spending your time enjoying your trip and forgetting watches.

Visited a few ADs here in Bangkok just for a chat a few weeks ago. Was hoping things were going to go back to normal soon,. Didn't seem like it will anytime soon.

They still have a huge waiting list and shipment of new pieces are still trickling in. Gonna be a good while until you'll be able to walk in to get a new watch.

Was in BKK a few weeks ago. If you don’t live in Thailand: zero chance.

Bangkok Airport: 0 chance.

Why would I do that?

I have time and good relationship with my AD where I live.

Have no rush in getting the watches i want - from my side 1 a year is just fine, no rush :)

I don’t forget, it’s only watches, not an essential product so my hopes or actual need is low :)

For browsing, the second hand stores in Tokyo are pure bliss.

Timely thread, DJ4. I head to Phuket via Seoul in November. I got all excited at the same prospect that you did; finding a watch while traveling. While it looks like we’re both out of luck finding something at an airport or in Thailand, it’s great to hear it’s relatively safe if we wish to wear a Rolex while traveling in Thailand.

My last few times through Dubai airport the Rolex counter wasn't even manned.

As far as I know their decent stock is kept under the counter but you have to charm it out of them. Frankly I can never be bothered with the faux small talk and so I just never ask any more. I do know people that have got lucky with the odd Submariner though.

Zero chance, Bangkok will only sell to locals, and with Dubai it's all under one family owned chain, Sadiqqi and sons. They will only sell you a Rolex if you have 100k AED (Approx $30k) purchase history with Dubai Rolex, or the other numerous brands they represent. Good luck, hope you prove me wrong. Although when I was leaving Dubai I did see 3 Rolex watches for sale, TT DJ's though.
