Ive done it with Seiko in the past. It certainly looks like it was manually bleached, but I think it looks great!

I have been considering getting a used BB 55 - doing the same bracelet and bezel mod. I like it!

I have enough new/new looking watches including a couple of 6 digit references. Since those will likely never patina, at least not in the same way, I figured why not? All in good fun! :)

Looks great. Can I ask where the jubilee bracelet is from?

Not for me - I'd rather spend hours in the sun and let it fade naturally.

But since you can apparently pop it in/out like the old skool GMT bezels no harm done!

Looks beautiful man. Glad it turned out well.

Nothing controversial about this. Your watch, your rules.

Won't you go the vintage route instead?

Love it! Always enjoy seeing when someone customizes a watch to their preferences

I hear yah! I like the Tudor but I’m not sure I’ll keep it long enough to patina naturally. Not to mention I already wear my watches in rotation so it doesn’t get enough wrist time to do so. But the beauty of aluminum bezels is their ease of changing!

Thank you, sir! I just thought people were more against the faux patina process.

I have a 16710. Not sure if you consider that vintage yet but I swap bezels on that, too!

The beauty of this hobby! It’s be boring if everyone wore the exact same thing.

I would have done this last night if USPS had delivered my spare BB58 bezel on time. Hoping it arrives today.

Very nice. It's one of the things that people like about the aluminum inserts versus the ceramic, which will never really age or lose its luster. Makes me wonder what these modern ceramics will look like in decades when they are "vintage" pieces. Worn and well loved watch body but new and sparkly insert! LOL

Actually, the new Tudor Pelagos 39 has what appears to be a matte finished ceramic bezel insert. It's sweet.
