I can't believe that RSC would say that it's acceptable.

AD said it was “Tolerant”? I wouldn’t tolerate that. It’s dud. Duff.
Here’s my favourite question to pose in these scenarios; would Rolex use this example in their pristine marketing and ads…? Tell the AD to tolerate it.

Unbelievable response from the AD. I really think the crazy supply and demand situation with Rolex is giving quite a few ADs some kind of god complex. It seems a great many of them truly believe they're doing customers a favour by allowing them to spend tens of thousands of their hard earned cash.
Do you honestly think that would happen with a clear QC issue with literally ANY other brand? Fortunately not all ADs are the same. A friend of mine had a minor dial fault on his SD43 (a tiny dot of paint on the dial) and the AD asked him how he'd like it resolved - i.e. new dial or new watch. He chose 'new watch', so the AD let him keep the original one until he could source a new SD43 for him, then swapped it for the new one - no questions asked and all within a month.

Tolerance is subjective.
For the times I have dealt with RSC, they are not keen to accept fault. It’s nauseating. Even when they damaged a brand new DJ of mine, they accepted that they would repair, but wouldn’t accept they caused the damage? That in itself says a lot. Ironic, given that they talk about perfectly manufactured dials in their marketing. Go back and quote them this, from their own website. ‘Characterised by hour markers fashioned from gold to prevent tarnishing, every Rolex dial is designed and manufactured in-house, largely by hand to ensure perfection’. I’m pretty sure perfection isn’t a term used alongside tolerance. Poor QC, again. |

Can you bypass that AD and contact a Rolex Service Center directly? Sounds like your AD is acting as a "gate keeper" and lazily doesn't feel like doing any of the paperwork or back office tasks associated with a warranty repair. Or maybe go to another AD and show it to them. Any AD can assist you with a warranty issue regardless of whether they sold the original watch or not.

This is complete nonsense. As long as you are 100% sure this is a genuine watch (lol) I would DEMAND a new dial. Make sure to show them the zoomed in pic you posted on your phone so they are focusing on the part with the flaw. I've seen fakes that have cleaner printing than that. As a point of pride THEY should be the ones demanding that you let them replace this. I'd let them know in no uncertain terms that every watch enthusiast on the internet will be seeing these photos if their stance remains "all good, nothing to see here".

Oh, yeah. I have seen this. That's the Mark 93 1/6 dial.

Some updates guys, I talk to my AD to help, even I didn’t purchase this watch with her. She is so nice that will help to send the watch to Dallas RSC to check (the one that denied me was LA SRC)

The misprint on the dial unacceptable, there is no way that dial should have slipped through Rolex QC and into the hands of a new owner. I would raise hell until they make it right on their dime.
