Hello, most of the answers are USA biased.

In the UK try TH March or Watches of Switzerland group who do a standalone cover. However I’m not sure If you need to take it when buying a watch.

The other option is sit with your parents and get them to ring their home insurance, and add it to their policy. You may have to get a valuation certificate, and make sure it’s covered away from the home.
