Can't you just buy a GMT with PCL oyster, and then send the bracelet to WatchWorks in LA to have it brushed? Only $125 bucks I think.

I think there are very few who can "just go buy" the rolex they want....at least not at retail.

Yes I think this will be the next step in the journey. Im probably going to see how the oyster from my Daytona looks as I have not had a definitive answer if it will fit. If not, as I suspect will be the case, then I will definitely be getting a GMT oyster bracelet and try it with the PCLs. At some point I will likely get them brushed but who knows.

I am also liking the idea of having 3 bracelets for my Pepsi as this would give 3i interchangeable looks, perhaps as an homage to the interchangeable bezels on old GMTs.

One of the many bad decisions that Rolex made in the late 2000s was abandoning the practice of all Submariners (including Sea-Dwellers) and GMTs sharing the same case/bracelets. It gave so many options to the owner.

i have done the same using my ceramic submariner bracelet and the gmt spring bars, pretty perfect fit

SD4K has a 79400 bracelet unique to the Seadweller it has fatter end links otherwise identical to the 79200 used on the 1166xx series Sub

You’re not getting any wiggle where the end of the bracelet meets the case?

When I tried doing this same thing with the same two watches the bracelet didn’t seem to be seated 100% correctly so I reserved course and out the jubilee back on.

Nope - no wiggle.

I did have the wiggle with the Daytona bracelet (78590) and it wasn’t seated at the 12 o’clock… 6 o’clock was good but couldn’t get the top one to sit so swapped it back.

Omega has mostly reversed this, thankfully, but for several years there they had watches with otherwise great vintage styling ruined by garish PCLs.

Rolex has yet to reverse it on the GMT, which is especially odd after it got the Jubilee option back. Polished Jubilee and brushed Oyster would be the best options.

Wow, I'm surprised I'm in the minority when I say this but the end links look terribly fitted on that. I have seen 60 dollar mall watches with better end links than that. I am not against swapping bracelets from other models but that looks like crap.

I would think the bracelet from a 11 series sub would fit perfectly and achieve the same look with glidelock.

I dont know dimensions of SD4k bracelet, but on sub bracelet switch I never had that bezel issue. So you are probably right.

Gmt belongs on a jubilee to me. Love my sub with the brushed oyster, but IMO the GMT is meant to be a bit dressier than sporty.
