My wife likes to wear bigger watches (easier on the eyes I guess) and the having the glidelock is a must for us. We can easily switch watches (with the subs) without having to add or remove a link (since my wrist is around 15-18mm larger which is not possible with her OP39). I'll check it out if I can add a glidelock on the OP so I can easily wear it too.

Glidelock is an overengineering marvel and I have not found it's equal or superior. Some people think it's too long but I don't. If you feel that way the YM on Oysterflex is a good option.

As a Rolex brand enthusiast it is not lost on me the significance of the color green for Rolex. It is their anniversary celebration color, featured in the original Kermit, the green hand of the first ceramic bezel (GMT LN), on various other dials, and featured prominently. The Rolex bags at the AD are green, the boxes are green, the Rolex boards at F1 are green, etc, and so having an LV is a great option. I own both 126610LN and LV. LN could be an only watch, but LV is more fun and I wear it often at the weekend.

And in any case it's really amazing how thin the 126610 wears given its robustness and depth rating.

Do the OP39 and 11 series Sub share a bracelet (or at least have identical with clasps)? If so, should be easy enough to add, no?

The OP 39 doesn't have an easy link adjustment. I have to use a push pin (which is hassle in my opinion) to adjust and even if I put it on the furthest position, the bracelet is still too small for me so I have to add a link so I can comfortably wear it .

That's true... Green is very much the color of Rolex and the LV actually looks better when worn with a casual or semi formal outfit (jeans, khakis). It just doesn't match with my darker everyday dress pants, but I digress.

What I meant was: Are the links attaching the bracelet of the OP39 to the clasp the same width as on a Sub of the same era? If they are, you can just unscrew the clasp from yours and swap in a Sub clasp, with the Glidelock. I've also heard that an easy-link can be ordered for a 11 series OP.

Fair trade or value for a Starbucks?

Your cousin must have a really great relationship with the AD, as it’s next to impossible to get any sort of sports piece from Bucherer/Wagner/Schullin in Vienna. If he thinks he could land another Sub from the AD let me know

I would not part with the LV, but that’s because I love it. You are different, so do what you want. The LV will always be a more rare watch than either of those and you can only wear one watch at a time.

Hmm good point. I’ll check it out later.

I bought both the Smurf and the LV from Wagner. The Smurf was an unplanned purchase in 2015. My family and I were just visiting Vienna for the first time and my cousin took me to Wagner and they have 2 Smurf’s and I got one on a great discount. The LV was offered to my cousin, but he didn’t want it since he wants the Pepsi and he asked me if I want it and of course I took it! The LV does really look great with my casual attire. I think I just got used to the LB with the PCL , heftiness and blue on blue color matching my suits.

Just an update... ended up trading my 12LV with the Hulk (11LV) and I am extremely happy with it. It was a straight trade with a colleague who insisted it. To me, the Hulk looks like the Starbucks in certain lightings especially during night time and the sunburst dial during daytime is magnificent. I think that alone sold me :)
