JJ you really do not want one of these. The reason mine is so accurate is that they put a Quartz movement inside.

I don't like the new GMT IIc. Sorry, it just don't do it for me.

I think they've abandoned any quest for genius lately and decided to just go for viagara and compete on watch sizes.

41 mm DJ anyone? Howabout a 41 mm President? You know you want it.

I agree with you 100% JJ! I love mine to death!

Regarding the comments about the large bezel numbers, I think it was a natural evolution with the implementation of the maxi-dial. I think it would look weird if the large maxi-dial markers were surrounded my small numbers. As it stands, it's very proportional to my eyes.

Also, the numbers on the new sub ceramic bezels are the same size as the GMT2C's.

genius? it strikes me as a sub on steroids (without the actual depth rating). i prefer the older gmt. but that's just my (possibly ill-informed) opinion.

Yes, we've had the Milgauss, the new DD-II and DJ-II, as well as the DSSD; but there's nothing, repeat nothing, to beat the sheer genius and ingenuity of the GMT-IIC.

What a watch!!
Very well said JJ

I'm with you in the minority.

I remember when people went bonkers over the Sub LV. now there are a bunch in the sales corner.

Although, I do think the GMT is more funtional than the LV

Although I agree, I am not a pilot. In addition I would bet that the vast majority of GMT IIc's sold are not to pilots.

I am sitting here right now looking at my new GMT. And let me tell you it takes my breath away. It is awesome; to use an over used expression. clean, functional and beautiful. And, amazingly accurate.

hmm... Interesting, so it looks a lot more like the GMT. I wonder if I would like that or if I would rather keep my "old style" sub so that there is a greater difference in looks.

I agree! I got the TT GMTIIC because it is just what I wanted. Not overly bling or dressy, yet not too "tool watch". Perfect combo and it just keeps incredible time. WELL within COSC. Hear hear JJ! Now you have to get one!

It's a really good photoshop done by someone on the net. It's not official, but the consensus is it will be very close based on the gold and two tone versions. I think it will not have the polished center links though. It's sharp!

I think they will nail it with the new Sub. The ceramic dive bezel of the Sub/DSSD looks infinitely better than the GMTIIc. It won't have green text or 24-hr hand. No PCL's would be nice as well.

I still question the wisdom of replacing and $80 part with an $800 part (bezel).

I'm not a fan of the GMT2c. The new ceramic bezel Rolex' look clunky to me and have no depth of color to the bezel. Also, the GMT2c and the Sub-c look like the same watch now. They won't sell either one to me.
