No sir. not anywhere 10k anymore on blue skyd. that ship has sailed. more of 6k above msrp.

I understand the people who buy at a premium. Nothing wrong with that.

It's just not me. I buy AD, always bought AD , even in the days that greys would sell at discount. I just love the experience, the drinks and the packaging and all that stuff that surrounds it.

So yeah its not about the money, it's about the experience for me. So I'm not going grey even if prices will drop below msrp.

Again that's just me, and to each their own, it's a free market.

In an average year (whatever that is) my AD gets 2 blue SS, 1 black SS, 1 white SS and 1 TT (usually in dial colour rotation). When I last discussed it with them, nobody was waiting for a TT although they don't hang around for long in the shop.

I don't know how this compares to their Daytona allocation. I've never been interested enough in a Daytona to talk to them about it.

You've said above that you buy from multiple Ads, whatever takes your fancy, well that may help you get a sub or datejust, but not the sky d at retail. You will need a spend history to get it at retail.

This is dependent on the size of the AD. Smaller Ad's will get a much smaller allocation in general. You can't compare Rudells with the WOS group for example. In fact even within the group you have ADs in larger cities that will get a mich bigger allocation.

This is obvious. Allocations go with the size of the customer base. My AD is in a small city. The next one over is in a big city and gets a correspondingly bigger allocation. This AD closed down one site and removed Rolex from a second site so that it could open a bigger Rolex location serving the same population.

This model seems to be dropping pretty regularly in price. There is one on Chrono24 right now for 21.5K.

Just keep an eye out and if you have an AD your familiar with ask him to be on the lookout for one.

Honestly, with grey prices like that now I would just go all gray on it i stead of waiting on the waitlist forever

Blue dial SD is probably in same league as white dial SS Daytona in terms of scarcity.

Even more so perhaps due to complexity of movement & lower numbers of SD’s produced generally compared to Daytona

They are trading in the 22-23 range on Moda. If they get below 20 I might pull the trigger, MSRP + tax is about 17!

Loyalty may be overrated, but it is what has allowed people to buy at MSRP rather than market price during the last few crazy years. If you want to hand over cash and be handed a blue Skydweller that is certainly available but it comes at a premium. Maybe that will change going forward and maybe it won’t. I agree is if frustrating.

When they came out they were pretty easy to get or at least a lot easier than now.

who knows if that is true but I know these people outside of the store so I dont see any reason they would have not tell me the truth

My AD told me flat out that based on my profile, I’d no chance of getting a blue dial Sky-dweller. They get less of these than the SS Daytona. Never understood the appeal of the Daytona though.

Black was my first choice. It is worth the wait. Absolutely love the sky-dweller.

I’m hopeless when it comes to this reference. Wouldn’t mind owning the PM rose gold reference too.

As far as calendar complications go, the sky-dweller is Rolex level robust / bullet proof.

No recessed pushers, sufficient WR to swim / shower with it on, no danger time zone when you can set the watch, instant date change, second time zone etc.

Jubilee bracelet is just so darn comfortable too.

Love love love the sky-dweller.

I couldn’t really tell if you were joking here.

Someone could pass on one and tip you off. It could happen .

What won’t happen is that the AD will sell it to you just because you heard about it.

They know what it’s worth as much as you do. More to the to point, they know what it’s worth to them and their list of clients.

Unless you meant someone tips you off that there’s a blue SS Sky Dweller sitting in a window somewhere…

You can’t get one because you’re not qualified for one likely. Either increase your spend or go grey if you really want one.

Secondary market price is dropping real fast, not that much premium.

White and Black dial are about $18k and Blue dial is about 22k.

I ow them nothing and they ow me nothing. Free market.

Just pisses me off that the greys are overloaded with blue sky's and I'm here like a dumbass waiting for years and 7billion price hikes. GRRRR
Haha, great answer! Keep trying!!

Love the black dial but unfortunately too large for my wrist but
If it wasn’t then the black dial would be the one for me,,,
