Batons are best, the wider the better, like the ones on my DJ2 and vintage wideboy.

Baguettes, otherwise sticks, but on certain models roman.
There's no rules, it's dependent on makeup and personal interests/aesthetics IMO. In general I'd avoid a DD and pick something else, like a true high-end piece. If that box is ticked, however, and one is looking for the Tony Montana look, then a DD re-enters the game for me.

Might be a good idea to re-start this thread as a poll - If so, perhaps you could subdivide diamonds into a) baguette diamonds, b) pinball (round setting) diamonds, and c) “8+2” diamonds (with baguettes only at 6 & 9).
The 8+2s have also been offered in both square and octagonal settings (although now that I think of it, I have a vague recollection that maybe a poll cannot offer more than 5 choices?) |

Baton. Except for the three-dimensional Romans on the DD40 (even though I'm not a huge fan of the watch itself).

Full baguette and the monochromatic stone dials.
Unfortunately those are also two of the most expensive dials you can get if factory. |

I prefer the sans Serif Romans rather than the Serif Romans.

Great for casual.

It really depends on the reference..
On the DD36 I’d only go sticks but on the DD40 the deconstructed roman’s and baguettes are amazing. On a DJ36 and DJ41 I prefer sticks on both. |

It all depends on the specific reference and dial configuration. But, in general, for my taste on the DD or DJ (dressier watches):
Romans>Arabic>Diamonds>sticks |

Baguette and Rainbow Jewle Baguettes win in our family.
