Get the blue, if not, get another watch.

The real DSSD is BLUE.

Funny thing.
When it was first released I was looking at the promo pics just like everybody else.
There was much criticism of the watch with gimmicky being the main descriptor which resonated with me and one person labelling it the Deepseaweed because of the green text. If I recall correctly I may have used that name here and there as well

Things turned for me when people started posting great pics on the forums and I went to my local to arrange a hands on with one when the next one came in.

After eyeballing it the rest is history and it's a salutary lesson to everybody that we probably ought to keep an open mind and try not to be too quick to judge.

I fell in love with the JC when I saw it in person. Got this photo in the Indianapolis airport. The local AD had an add up.

Black was what I wanted, basically the King of Subs was what I was after, and the classic Rolex diver to me is black.

Not to say I don't like the D-Blue, I've contemplated having both

JC DSSD was too busy for me. Sold it. Would consider the black dial.

I love the classic black dial look. Having said that if I had other black dial pieces I would lean towards the JC

Another vote for the D-blue. And my first rolex watch was the 116660 black recently reacquired the 13 series and love the balance + the blue dial is much more subtle than all of these pics including mine

Can't go wrong with either. I wear the black more, but JC's dial is indeed special.

I ended up getting the black which I’m very happy about. The matte dial looks great. But as all have said can’t go wrong with either one.

The D-Blue is one of my favorites and I would have one if I had a larger wrist. It is a great looking watch.

I think with the thickness of the DSSD the scenario would end up the same as the AP for me.

I currently have 4 watches that I can wear anytime, any place and I like that. I'd rather that than have 4 watches and only 3 of them I can pick up and wear on any given day.

I wear mine anytime, any place without hesitation. I think I probably wear this one more than any of the others. Wearability, 10 out of 10…
