Because I’m insuring it and I wasn’t no issues, they shipped it with Ferrari Express and I paid my part to CBSA, : (, and it was delivered. Very quick and secure but pricey! But with the way things are I didn’t want my insurance company to give me a hard time with my receipt etc. they’ll look for any excuse if, heaven forbid, I have to submit a theft or robbery claim!

Did you have to pay NY state taxes as well?

no. much worse, lol. Another member flew down, purchased and flew back. He would've paid NY sales tax plus if caught on the return an additional 6.1 in excise tax provided it was confiscated. I'm insuring the watch and didn't want my insurance company to give me any BS plus I didn't want to take any chances at the border. So, the just charge you the sticker price in USD via wire which I was great with. Then the secure shipping which was a lot plus brokerage. There wasn't a mark up or anything but no oppourtunity to hassle the CBSA, lol. It's a straight 13% which is far but who wants to pay that on $41K USD : (
