OP,Sure, you can get it repaired as per advice above.
But that dent is really tiny when observed without magnification.
I suggest you remove the protective stickers, forget the dent, wear the watch, and enjoy it.

Taking it off and putting down could do that. As can buying it used and not checking the condition in enough detail.

Not the end of the world.

I know a gray dealer, who told me that last time someone traded in a watch that was stickered, he had to send it away for a polish job before he could sell it...

A real UNO reverse on the ones who thought they were protecting their "investment"

Ignore the slight ding, remove the tape and enjoy the watch.

I wouldn't risk the repair for such a small ding on the backside of the case.

I'd rather have a few dings and scratches than a bad repair job or overzealous polish. I like sharp, clean, original edges, it's part of my OCD lol.

Remove the protective tape; wear that remarkable watch. Dings are like scars--part of life. May you have a great fruitful life full of scars and dings!

No

No competent watchmaker will fill this tiny nick in. They might take a file and break the edge and remove the appearance of the nick, but you will then have a slight chamfer along the edge.

Had a ding on my Sub as well, and it hurt every time I looked at it. When I took it in for service, it was taken care of.

Leave the ding as is. Polishing it would leave it rounded and worse off. Think of the ding as a unique identification of "your" watch and enjoy it!

Rolex owners back then: I will push the boundaries of my species knowledge, explore the most dangerous and beautiful places on earth to advance our understanding of our home, our bodies, and spirits. I need dependable items in critical conditions and Rolex are perfect for me since they will hold any abuse this new world will throw at them.

Rolex owners today: My little precious has been scratched, how will people look at me now ?

True. But to be fair, they weren't 10-20-30k$ back then. These aren't tool watches anymore, they are a luxury item. No one is diving with a gold Deep sea and no one is tracking a race with a Daytona.

RSC Singapore did not offer laser welding about 4 years ago. I am not sure if they have it now.
Probably just drop by to ask.

I assume the reputable dealer did not tell you there was a dent when you purchased it.
You should share the name of the reputable dealer.

But to fair when you consider incomes and cost of living and on and on back then they were still expensive. I remember when a Sub was $2800-3500 and I thought to myself omg I'll never be able to afford that type of money. But I do get your point. Most Rolex watches worn today are for more of a fashion statement than a tool. I'm guilty to. Granted I do use my Gmt's

I'm all for looking after my watches (although I never go as far as stickers or protective film), but I've got to be honest that flea-bite ding is incredibly tiny IMO. It even looks small when it's blown up on my huge PC screen.

Honestly OP, if you chase down every single nick like that, you will, a) get zero enjoyment out of owning the watch, and b) you could end up with an even worse result due to poor or too heavy-handed polishing. My advice would be to simply let this (and similar) miniscule dings go, and just enjoy wearing your watch.

If at service time, you've accumulated a few more, you could ask RSC to do a light case refurb as part of the service. Seriously, if you're going to have any enjoyment from Rolex ownership, you need to learn to let little flea-bites like this go. JMO, and YMMV of course.

Oh and O P? Remove the stickers and just wait till service time. You may have even more dings and dents and scrapes at that time. Then decide what's best at that point.

For people that use the protective stickers do you not wear your watch in the shower or while swimming? The thought of not being able to wear/wash my watch in the shower each and every day after a long day at work is no dice for me...

Thus no stickers for me. Well that and the look. Sorry not a fan

Thanks, those are great advice, even the watch service expert said it’s too small a nick to even affect the value of the watch…. Must learn to let go….

Could be my fault also, as the dealer was actually nice m. They even lent me a loupe to fully check the watch before paying.
