Nice! I am always looking at the WG Sub online, it could honestly be my only I think. Until then the 12LV and BLNR gives me that one two punch that gets me close to the WG Sub feel if that makes sense. The BLNR blue is so completely amazing.

To each their own.

I owned the BLNR for about a year or so, and quickly tired of the blue black combo. I just found it uninteresting

Definitely not as interesting as my purple / pink BLRO

Generally BLRO is harder. But it's luck of the draw as AD's don't get to choose what they get in for sports models from what I've heard.

Agree with this. Side by side, I chose a BLRO over a BLNR and have loved every second of it. No contest.

I've been waiting on the BLRO for two years. I have a good spend history 6 watches on 3 years and been invited to Rolex lunches ect. Know the manager and SA well. im of the opinion this is a hard watch to get.

BLNR I am lead to believe is easier to get. via talking to fellow collectors

I eventually went grey for my BLRO, but have been on the list with my AD since last July. My SA has me down for any stainless GMT, but knows my preference is the BLRO. I asked her a few days ago for an update and she reiterated her guarantee that they are going to be able to get me one, but they haven't received any SS GMTs all year. She has always indicated that at her particular AD, the BLNR is in more demand the the BLRO. And the VTNR might be in the most demand of the 3.

AD likes to reserve both to their repeated customers. Once they make their customers happy then they would offer to new customers. Depending on SA, they will make special exceptions

Same thing over here. Owning both the BLRO wins all the time for me, nicer colours and the history behind the PANAM colours.

Love my BLNR on oyster. Just a simply design and looks good.

But if my AD ever offer me a Daytona, I will sell my BLNR. I try to keep to one watch per brand and keep my Tudor GMT.

That’s my watch goal :)

I am a good customer at my AD and took me a lot longer to obtain a BLRO over a BLNR. Love my BLRO most but there is a place in my collection for the BLNR--in and of itself a spectacular watch.

Sub
Sub Date

Need to convince yourself? Just look on watchcharts and consider the Hype-delta from MSRP. The black subs will be the first to reach MSRP, then the LV. Eventually the LV will go below MSRP (like it was back in 2017)
I’ personally don’t believe LV subs will be back at MRSP. I know it happened many years back but I don’t believe it will happen again.

Just my take.

Awesome. Daytona is Rolex. I hope you get one and join the Daytona club.

Just adding my experience as an additional data point.

Asked for either a BLRO (1st preference)/BLNR after getting my sub. Was told BLRO would be difficult but BLNR could happen within a year.

8 months later my SA offered up the BLRO. Despite us only speaking about the BLNR during that period, she said she remembered the BLRO was my first choice.

Go grey (like I had to), it’s easy enough to get.

No sympathy for anyone struggling to get one from their AD.

Wow amazing luck! Was the Sub your only other purchase history? I just put in a request for a BLRO on Oyster last week to my AD. Purchase history is an Explorer and two tone DJ31. Makes me think I have a decent shot at it!!

BLNR is easier than BLRO for real, but to obtain any of the both you still need a good purchase history from my experience.

Not sure which “south” AD you’re referring to but in the north, the VTNR is definitely not the most in demand.

I was always under the impression that more people wanted the GMT on oyster. But has that changed now?

Seems like rolex produces more GMT on Jubilees lately

Does it matter though? You can buy both bracelets for the GMT now. Mine came on an Oyster and just ordered a jubilee. It’s almost like having two watches.

I emailed my AD to ask about both of these yesterday. She said "a lot of patience will be required".

Yup, figured that. I wonder just HOW MUCH patience... Two years like I waited for the Sub? I can see that for sure. Longer, that would really require patience. Not sure I can go beyond two years for any watch.

Some real data - small AD used to get the following breakdown:
10-14 BLRO / yr
10-14 BLNR / yr

The difference was the demand for BLRO was greater and thus wait times were greater

2023: same ad has received 1/4 of their regular supply of BLRO while BLNR supply remained the same

Coupled with greater demand with BLRO, wait times are much longer

Once things return to normal the VTNR will languish in the display case.
- Green not really all that popular. Pretend every display case had one unit of regular black Sub/GMT available along with their green versions... bet the green is not 1st choice.
- Lefty models will never really be popular. Probably 10:1 ratio in favor of the regular models.

It will remain a curiosity.

Just had this convo with my AD about my wish list and my pepsi chances.

Pepsi is harder especially with the bezel issues and uncertainty of discontinued. I told them I’d take a batgirl if Pepsi isn't possible.

Good relationship + spend history + luck = GMT

Been with the AD since 2019 and bought 3 watches from them.

Thanks for sharing. I found your comments very interesting. The bezel really is everything on GMTs. Once seen a post here of a modern GMT without its bezel (had broke for some reason) and I couldn't believe how mundane and dare I say "ordinary" it looked. So the bezel is a huge aspect of the appeal and proper colors count! Cheers!

I waited 3 years for a Pepsi, no luck, gave up and bought a wonderful Sub-date instead with no regrets. The Daytona followed by the Pepsi wait lists are the longest by far, probably 5 years plus for a regular Joe.

I'm waiting for either BLRO or BLNR with history of 126334 bought in 2019 and a 126622 that they just happened to have when I popped in at the beginning of November....what's my time frame?!
