Had a chance to try a new one at AD.
I am a giant, though. |

It's also worth noting that the thickness of a watch can affect how it wears on the wrist. The Explorer II is slightly thicker than the Submariner and GMT-Master II, which could also impact how it fits and feels.

My 216570 on a 7.25 wrist. I have been wearing as a daily since I got it. My poor Sub and DJ thinks I have forgotten about them.
The Exp. II is no different than than my Sub to me. DJ is noticeably more comfortable. But none to bad as I have been wearing the 216570 24/7 for almost 2 weeks. Can't figure out how to take it off for some reason

The best way to find out is to try...
But for perspective on a ~18cm (~7'inch) wrist. No wearing problem.

Black dial is my favorite, the white lacks contrast against the steel case and bracelet. Regarding 22 series vs 21, I can’t really see any difference. But I can’t say I wear them enough to draw conclusions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I purchased the polar 226570 recently so I definitely like the white dial. Not close to me. Lots of nice black dial options out there but IMO the Exp 2 "is" the polar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

7" wrist here as well and I've tried the black dial at my AD. It does wear bigger than the sub but VERY comfy if u have a flat wrist like mine. But there's no denying its wrist presence.
Polar is a elusive at my AD and he's got over 60 people lined up...lol. I told my rep I'll take either dial but hoping he'll come up with the polar by summer this year. Planning on wearing it with a tan nato for summer. |

With slightly less than 7.25” wrist, the Exp II Polar is a great size for me. I feel that the current black Sub is a bit small. Might consider a Seadweller because of this.

I’ve got a 7.1” wrist and own both the Exp2 Polar (226750) and SubLV (126610LV). The Exp2 definitely wears “bigger”, but not uncomfortably so, it looks great on my wrist. Pictures at 1x zoom distort and make it look bigger than it is, at a distance it looks perfect. The sub definitely wears better and is more comfortable, especially with Glidelock bracelet.

When I bought my first Explorer 2 on May 2020, I had the opportunity to handle both black and white before at my AD.
I went with the Polar mostly because of the hype. Tried to bond with it for a while with no success and a year later got the chance to buy the black as well. I would now let the Polar go but I’m stuck with if for life, it’s got my boy’s name and birth date on the card, his first document. Now considering adding a black dial to it and let the 22 series go instead. Conclusion to myself: can’t get wiser just by education (TRF reading), it’s trial and error. Great watch! Hope it looks ginormous as I have been morphing into bigger watches lately: Sky-Dweller, SD43 and, soon, Polar Explorer II.

My wrist is larger so my input is slightly skewed but I’ve tried the Polar and it does wear smaller because of how thin it is.
Here is my daily wearer DSSD as compared to the Polar exhibition model Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, 6 digits Explorer II wears large and even larger than the Blancpain fifty fathoms, if you can believe it. My personal experience with a 6.5" wrist.

I do not feel that the explore players larger than the sub. Both wonderful weight, dimensions, wrist presence.

Enter pile on, not only is this watch perfect on my wrist, it’s by far the most legible, watch, day or night, that I have ever owned. The loom is sick, and the matte black heads against the white dial, are off the hook.

I have small-ish wrist and I was surprised with size of the EXPII. It didn’t look much larger than my 41mm Sub

Here are both on my 7.25 inch wrist in similar poses. And here’s they are side by side on my desk. Hope this is helpful |

Agree. Anyone who tells you the exp2 doesn’t wear bigger than a sub isn’t being totally honest . Will it fit you? Need to try it on. Current exp2 is too big for me and I own 6 digit sub and gmt2. Wish Rolex would go back to a 40mm exp2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

216570 on a 7.25 wrist. It is a large watch. But I find it very ledgeable and comfortable.

These things are subjective, but I don't find it too big for even my 6.5 inch wrist. Having said that, I don't understand the people here saying it doesn't wear bigger than a Sub. It definitely wears bigger, the bigger hands and indicies alone are immediately noticeable and makes the watch feel/look much larger as soon as it gets on wrist. |

In terms of pure visual perception of size on my 7.5” wrist, I see very little difference between my Sub and my 22 series Exp ll. My GMTII looks much smaller on my wrist.
Subjectively speaking: the Exp ll is my go-to watch nearly every day. The other 2 pictured I rarely ever wear. If I’m honest, that’s mainly because the Exp ll is such a rugged watch, I put it on and don’t worry about it even once throughout the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Visually (especially with the white dial) the Ex2 will appear bigger from your point of view and from a 3rd person view….but it won’t feel bigger to you. In fact, it the Ex2 will feel better balanced on wrist than your sub.
With a 7’’ wrist you’ll be fine.. |

The EXII wears more comfortable on my wrist (compared with the FatBoy) because it is more flat on the underside of the watch.
