I got my blue steel code chrono today :) So I think I’ve answered my question.
I love the watch. Fits really nicely and the grey elements really add to the look imo.

Well done, you’ll enjoy that a lot I’m sure

Can never go wrong with any Blue dial AP.

This is fantastic, I feel like this iteration really brings out the strong sides of this design by virtue of everything having kind of the same „scale“ of detail if that makes sense. No more mixing „bold“ numerals and flat empty dials, however beautiful and mysterious they may be, with the beautiful intricacies of the case architecture and finish. Now there’s coherence in the design and good lord, it’s one great design, both visually and ergonomically.

Congratulations!

I just walked out of the Highland Park Village boutique and asked if they had any steel Code to even view and they looked at me like I was a crazy person.

The Geneva boutique had cases full of RO/ROC exhibition models this week, including a RG Jumbo - but not a single steel Code.

That may be the best summary of the design language difference (origins problem) on code I’ve ever read.

Also, you might be able to further saying the problem was no weekly indicator, moon phase…oh wait. I kid, I kid. Not every watch can be a QP.

Haha, yeah the QP is indeed the one where all those scale aspects were bang on from the get go, making for one of the most beautiful watches I ever encountered.
