I’ve always struggled a bit with the Mickey Mouse-esqu proportions of the 6-digit GMTs. But the proportions of the 1675 are gone forever (the 5-digit GMT’s didn’t do it for me either).

I think these two new releases are my least favourite iterations of the 6-digit GMTs, and I don’t get the love of the Batman either. I think they should have softened the case up like the did the new 41mm sub and refined the bezel numeral size rather than releasing these gawky editions.

Sell it asap if you don’t like it. I bet this one isn’t going to be as valuable as the other GMTs in the long-run, and you could end up losing on it then if you delay the inevitable.

What you say makes no sense I'm afraid. You say things like "they don't have what I want in stock". There is no way for almost anyone in the world to be able to walk into a Rolex store and expect them to have exactly what they want for immediate sale.

If you're a good customer they will definitely get you what you want with some lead time.

Sorry to say, but I think you are BSitter.

This world is so sad that people like you think what they have not experienced must be impossible

I’d like to know as well. I feel I won’t like the answer though.
Maybe folks got tired of soda pop & cartoon character names… but to go after people now is truly tasteless!

First I’ve heard it referred to as a “Britney Griner”, but I’m just guessing it’s a play off of the “GRNR” part of the reference number.

I think you should buy what you like and if you have doubts about it then it’s a good thing to walk away.

GRNR. If people are going to make up incredibly stupid nicknames I won't be left out.

Yes. I want to play along with the bozos making up stupid names for these watches.

You need to read carefully. Here in Toronto there is a literally a AD about 2 minutes driving away from Costco.

Yeah, initially I thought Costco had started dealing in Rolex. Poor reading by me.

Reasonable decision made by OP, in my inconsequential estimation.

However, I’m surprised to see a 2023 novelty so “readily available”. Sure, my feeling this way speaks to the ridiculous nature of the market, as others have alluded to…

Good advice in a forum for enthusiasts
I doubt most buyers are enthusiasts.

No, just that 'people like me' can tell nonsense when they read it.
What is sad though is that people like you are rude on other people's incoming threads....as you have done.

This - exactly! If they improved the case like the sub41s I would still have the BLNR.

Offtopic : I have read most of your posts and I am truly struggling why you joined this forum? Almost to a fault, your posts come across as negative / inflammatory or looking for a debate for no reason whatsoever... I am not sure what you're looking to get out of being part of TRF outside of trying to needle other people and commenting in a less than pleasant manner in multiple posts. I am sure you think different, but I guess I just wonder why you felt the need to join this forum to do so?

On-topic : OP I think you did the right thing. the GRNR is not my cup of tea in the looks department, and though you MAY have been able to flip it for a few $$ in the short term, I would hope karma rewards you in the long run for leaving it to someone who's truly happy go buy it!!

Am I being stupid? I feel like buying a Rolex now is like a paradox. For anything I want they are always out of stock. For those in-stock ones I keep telling myself there must be a reason that nobody wants it.

You did the right thing - only by what you like and will wear.

However, did you give a request to the SA what you really want?
