Who says you have to “collect” more? Why not just enjoy what you have?
Speaking personally, once I bought my Explorer, it felt so perfect on my wrist that any interest in other watches just melted away. It’s been pretty much the only watch on my wrist in the last two years. I have a bunch of others languishing in the bank vault, completely untouched for those same 2 years. This reminds me that I must do something with them as I’ve completely lost interest … |

I actually agree with your post (well I don’t own any PM). Aside from that, I haven’t got one grail piece and for me they don’t exist |

This right here. After purchasing my grail Rolex 116610lv and felt that will be the last, I was wrong because the itch never stopped. Have added a few more afterwards.

Nothing to add
And sometimes, I'm in the same case. We must learn to fully appreciate what we have and write a stop.

My white gold Sky-Dweller was my first grail. Absolutely the best watch ever, no possibility of improvement, never going to sell it. All that changed when I saw a rosegold Sky-Dweller with dark rhodium dial. Suddenly, the white gold Sky lost its luster. It got knocked so far down the totem pole, that I sold it within a month of buying the rosegold, which I couldn’t live without. This rosegold Sky-D is “Absolutely the best watch ever, no possibility of improvement, never going to sell it” And what will happen when I see the new blue-green Sky-D with softened lugs and an improved movement?

These are my Grail Watches (at least for now).
I really don't know which one is the best, as the definition of Grail Watch doesn't really suit an enthusiast who considers all his watches "better". Enjoy your Smurf! |

Enjoy your current watches and focus on other hobbies. Over time, a new grail will catch your eye. New models are released annually.

Once a Pepsi hits my wrist I'll be done. Got my Sub till then and I'm perfectly fine waiting. My problem is I love it so much I never wear anything else.

I found my grail - now what?
Honestly, you are finished. Congrats. Move on to another hobby.
Don’t keep making up wrist grails and chasing them. At some point, it became pointless. I’m in PointLess city now, not as fun as it used to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I found my grail - now what?
I don’t have a grail anymore. I honestly don’t see the point. I’ll never have enough money to buy all the watches I want, so I just focus on the next piece I can realistically obtain. There will always be another. And there are plenty that I cannot and likely will not be able to realistically obtain. Does that make those grails? I don’t know.
There are watches I want from Rolex, Omega, AP, VC, PP, Greubel Forsey, Voutilainen, Lange, FPJ, Moser, Chopard, and many, many more. Is it realistic that I’ll ever obtain all of them? Probably not. I guess it depends on your definition of grail because I suppose all of those could be considered grails. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The main reason to get your grail is to move on to your next grail…. It’ll never end!

It’s like everything in life. Once you achieve a goal, our nature is to achieve the next/higher one. This is a good thing. Never be comfortable or complacent.
