The outgoing, the incoming, the most recent & the off catalogue

I recently posted about my quandary in terms of pulling the trigger on a rose gold olive dialled DD or not.

Well I did it. Here's a few very rough and ready snaps of the 1999 Submariner I traded against the DD, clearly the DD I'm getting, the Bluesy I got earlier in the year from the same AD lurking in the background and an amazing off catalogue piece a customer ordered. The RRP on that was double the DD

The quality of the gem setting is unreal.

I get the DD in a few weeks. It's half paid for with the 2nd half due when I leave the country to save the GST (duty free purchase). Can't wait. I tend to go to Singapore as it's such an epic country, and think I will do so again.

Its funny how tastes change. A few years ago I was stainless steel all day long. At that point I'd had a Submariner for 30 years.

I'd always kinda liked the Bluesy, but landed a Rootbeer GMT in 2021, a stainless slate YM in 2022 and the Bluesy in early 2023, plus a Datejust and a matching 37mm YM for my partner. Over this period I became more attracted to full PM and my partners Datejust saw me looking at those more and more too.

And here we are.
