Did your watch come with stickers from trusted seller BNIB?

Trust has been mentioned a few times in this thread. I completely trust Rolex and the AD. Usually the AD unboxes from the transport coffin and unstickers the watch right there at the time of purchase. I don’t completely trust traders and private buyers. I don’t even know how many people have ‘owned’ a piece that ends up with a reseller I’m potentially purchasing from. I don’t know how the watch has been handled. I don’t know if I’m going to get a surprise when the watch finally visits a RSC. I understand grey is the only option for some. I’m not saying I wouldn’t buy used. I just value new more highly than used. |

I am late to the party, and much has already been said. All Rolex watches first go to ADs, (at least in the US). They are obliged to remove all stickers before the watch leaves the store. If one of their watches ends up on the secondary market with the stickers intact and Rolex finds out it will be an issue for the AD with Rolex. This was not the case a few years back and "good" customers could buy watches with the stickers on so they could perform the celebrational sticker removal at a later time or just re-sell the watch that way for more money. It is rare now for a stickered watch to show up but like anything else they do despite the policy.
As for the comments on "unworn" in the used watch market. Rarely, is that the case. Obviously, it scales down from someone somewhere at least having tried it on, all the way to removing a few hairlines on the clasp and elsewhere to make it look unworn. It is very unlikely any watch from 2019 is unworn, except a factory sealed watch in its original uncut seal wrapping like a Patek comes in. The Rolex coffins are just taped and easily resealed. |

Maybe. I am going, by my own experience, having purchased several dozen brand new Omegas, from a grey market dealer, who bought them directly, from an Omega AD. All were BNIB, and fully stickered. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

AD's remove the stickers now and have for a few years. A secondary market sourced watch may be unworn or claimed to be unworn but it's still a "used" watch that someone purchased from the AD and traded or sold to the grey dealer. Inspect it very closely if you expect a watch in true BNIB condition.

The BLNR in my avatar pic came from Watchfinder with a full set of stickers in 2021.
From my understanding that is a rarity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Inspected with a magnifying glass. Beautiful and pristine. Time for my daughter to get some scratches of her own. I was happy to be able to facilitate this for her and she is super happy.

My AD removes stickers at point of purchase. If someone was to sell a watch originally supplied by my AD it would not be stickered.
I have bought two Rolex from the secondary market. Both were fully stickered. |

My AD removed most of the stickers when they sold me my 40mm slate Yacht-master. I think there were 2 left. All hang tags and white tag, but no outer box sleeve or bezel protector.
