Sell or keep the Explorer?

Only you can decide. I'd try to enjoy what you have for a while and see how you feel. The option will always be there.

I like simple watches and have a small wrist, so was happy to pick up the new 36mm Explorer when it came out. I sold it after three months because the 36mm Explorer wears really small, even for a 36mm. It’s dainty. Instead, I wear the more substantial 36mm Datejust. It’s a small difference in heft, but that small difference made all the difference in the world. Try the Datejust or a Sub is my advice.

I agree with the above comments that it does sound like you love the thrill of the next watch, and whilst there isn't anything wrong with this, you should probably add first and decide later, rather than sell first and live to regret your decision. You did mention that you appreciated the history and looks of the Exp, so unless you no longer think this, I'd be cautious about being overly hasty in its sale.

With its slightly larger case and bracelet, the LV might wear the largest of all the watches you have mentioned, possibly too large, so make sure to try it on before jumping in.

I agree with your comments, and I certainly don't need the extra WR! Even though this is in my mind, I will give the Expl. some time and see how it plays out in the end. Thanks a lot!
