Replying with the serial number of the stolen watch: 51AK2391

I think we would like more details on what happened.

Just like others, I'm curious about the circumstances of the theft...? Were you mugged/knifepoint? Stolen from a hotel room safe? Taken off in public for whatever reason, then it walked away?

Yep. Zero sympathy from me until I know more of the story.

I'm glad you weren't harmed and wish you the best in recovering your watch.
OP's ambiguity is why I asked the questions, above. If it happened out on the street, I can put him in direct contact with the person at the city who can (and will) pull footage from the surveillance cameras installed in that area (the police there are overwhelmed and won't likely get to it). If it happened at the hotel, then I would gladly reach out to management that I know there and get them to respond and try to help. The French Quarter is a small community, one in which I have consistently lived at least part-time since I was a kid, that is collectively fed up with all of the crime and willing to help out whenever possible. It seems possible that OP may have never reported this to anyone, other than on the Forum as his first post, which is certainly his choice.

I’m curious about the details too. I’m thinking about getting a full PM piece since prices are dropping fast on them and I’ve been eyeing one up in particular.

However , it’s reasons like this that give me cause for pause. If this was a mugging it most likely was a situation where the PM piece was targeted

I got a parking ticket on Poydras last week, can you help with that?

While I do find this slightly humorous, theft and robbery should not be tolerated at all and is a major reason why I don’t wear some of my watches anymore unless I’m in a safe country.

I hope you get it back somehow OP. I’m sure there is some camera footage from the hotel, and hopefully some fingerprints as well. Although I doubt the police would do a full forensic these days

Also, don’t commit insurance fraud by signing up and backdating. You will go from a victim to a felon really quickly

I don't think OP knows how to send a private message. I believe his reply below if for you.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope you get your watch back.
I am going to New Orleans in a couple months and don't plan on bringing any of my "nice" watches. Even though they are insured, I just don't want to risk it. I have some beaters and one of those will be on my wrist.

I don’t wish to detract from the OP’s thread but you can go over to https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=573127

Please don’t go off-topic here - ask questions there about how my stolen Rolex recoveries were made.

Crime is rampant everywhere, this is such a kind gesture and a lesson to all of us to help each other when we can! I hope the op finds his watch.
