My Charles Frodsham is that for me.

But my fiancée is getting me a watch, so that would be the one watch, obviously!

For a watch I don't have, I tried on the new Breguet Marine tourbillon and it fit like a dream on my wrist. I know people have freaked out about the numerals, etc. of this generation Marine. However, for me, it was amazing on my wrist. I can't really express how good it was. That's really what a one watch should be--a watch you love.

Here's a pic from monochrome:

The Mb&f sequential chrono evo on rubber. Can be work in any situation and it’s ridiculously awesome.

I have to agree about that Breguet. Very spectacular new release for Breguet to Marine collection

It's a close call. Picking one, I'll go for Sub Date variant - 126619LB

I'd likely choose between 5711/1A blue and IWC Mark XV. Very different level but similarly versatile.

Lange, which I bought for my 50th birthday, or Aquanaut 5167A-001, which I am still waiting for.

Well, if only one the first thing is of course it needs to be accurate AND highly reliable.

A waterproofness rating of 100m or more is mandatory.

Another factor is service time and costs.

So just one.... hmmm...

This line of Marines really has grown on me over time. I honestly think personally I knocked it down a few points I shouldn't have just because I was comparing to the previous generation which I love so much.

I'd love to try on a few of the different versions someday have yet to see one in person.

My wife liked it so much on my wrist she already has it on her list of watches for the future! But it'll be some years.

It is not currently nor has it previously been made. The best I can do is narrow down to 3. For me there is no 1 timepiece.

I don't like games where I have to limit myself.

Too many watches, too little time.

PP 5711/1A would do fairly well. With its WR, a great all arounder.

It would probably be a Rolex SS BLRO or a Patek 5167 on a rubber strap. I guess that's why these sports models are so popular.

100m+ WR, steel, on bracelet or rubber, 36-40mm, slim, time only, perhaps with date. Not my absolute favourite configuration, but for practicality, durability and versatility, it's unbeatable.

Not sure which, but it'd be Nautilus or Aquanaut, RO, Odysseus or Antarctique. I already own three of those five.

Should they come out with a steel 222, that'd take some beating.

That said, my Explorer I 124270 ticks all the boxes and is still at 0spd.
