My AD sometimes has single jewelry pieces that sell for $1m+ so yes, there are people who spend it in a single transaction.

Does anyone know if there is any sort of special process to obtaining the Le Mans Daytona from the AD? I've heard the rainbow Daytona requires some sort of special approval from above or something.
I suspect that if you have to ask, the answer’s No.

i think le mans same like rainbow hard to get=mission impossible.
many ads require purchase history of 200k for regular pepsi, for le mans and rainbow 300-500k and ever million in middle east.

When I picked up the 126515, I was told by my AD she could get me one. However the rainbow is a different story.

I believe that the Rainbow Daytonas only go to boutiques. So many ADs will never received one to allocate. It's a different story with the Lemans.

My AD got one the Christmas before Covid and they're not a boutique. Said it just showed up in the last shipment before Christmas.

Best of luck. I'm putting my name on the waitlist tomorrow. I'm lusting for one so I don't care how long it takes.

I do wonder though if it will be comfortable on the wrist...

I'm on the list at my small jeweler AD.

I've only bought jewelry from them, but keep going back.
If they get me a Batgirl, I'll buy it too.

And hopefully, that random shipment comes with one in the box.

i try not to add up my watch purchase history as it sort of verifies how nuts I am
but I just did and its a few hundred grand
so yeah i'll let you know if and when it's happening. this is a great addition to the collection but by no means a grail for me so no stress. if it was grail i'd chase it in the grey tbh. the problem is that it appears to truly be grail for others. but a real paul newman can be had under 200k, sometimes well under 200k for a well worn piece (fine by me), so I don't really see the LeMans at that level. but the hype market is something i've never fully grasped.

If it makes you feel any better, most of us are , when it comes to watches. I’d love to see some of you guys get this Daytona. I expect we will see it on Tom Brady’s wrist soon.

OP congrats, but TBH the dial looks.. meh, too much space taken up by five lines of text! Pass on this Le Mans reference Daytona.

I don't notice that as much as the huge amount of real estate taken up by the 3 sub dials in the new PM Daytonas that have no contrast on the counter tracks.

I’m lucky I’m not getting one. Re-mortgaging my house wouldn't go down too well.
It’s waayy out of my budget.
