I'm sure you'll find an opportunity when you're in need to tracking time while doing something you maybe wouldn't risk doing in another watch. These things can take an absolute beating, and I like how for some models you can buy both the strap and outer case for the watch to replace when needed.

Very nice! Wish I could see one of these in person before buying. I found one on eBay for a fantastic price brand new, but the return policy likely won't be as simple or accepting as Amazon which is charging significantly more.

A very cool piece and they fact they seem to be shifting more towards the smart watch/fitness tracker side of things for some new models it makes me appreciate these previous ones even more. Simple, solar powered, and loaded with useful features.

So far, so good. I pretty much have only worn this on weekends. The picture make it look like it doesn’t really fit me right, but I’m right at 7.5 and it wears ok. Can recommend.

It has an altimeter, barometer, and compass. With all that I wish it had ambient temperature, but so be it. Cool watch, get one!

Sold! I bought one in eBay from a seller (new) in Kentucky. Can't wait for it to arrive! I'll adjust to the size of it, but my PRW 2500 ProTrek is massive. For a beater or outdoors watch this is fine.

That's the GW-9400 right? I though that also tells the temperature. Was looking to get one of these recently but the excellent Watch Geek 1hr YT instruction video made me realise there was a lot to learn about using the Alti and Baro functions that I'll likely never use.

Interesting 44-second video here showing a G-Shock square tested to 200m depth. It's interesting how a plastic watch with four non-screwdown pushers and a 4-screw caseback can go twice as deep as the depth rating for a Rolex Oyster.

1st incoming of 2024 is appropriately a g-shock! It’s LARGE but then again, it IS a g-shock - Lol. Besides there’s only speculation if they’ll ever release a smaller version.

That's amazing and indeed fascinating how Casio is able to achieve this given the design traits. Seeing this video makes me appreciate G-Shock's even more, despite always being aware of the depth rating.

I wonder how much further it potentially could've gone without an issue.

No, I’ve never received the radio signal here in NYC. I only ever see the RCVD when I’m traveling. (Of course, with my Bluetooth models I can cheat and get it through my phone.)

Including the hour long 2 part Rangeman tutorial mentioned above.

I shall post my G-Shock collection tomorrow, but I just completed my own GA-2100 Casioak build and wanted to share as I think EVERY 2100 should at least get this modification!!!

I loved the 2100 ever since it came out but couldn't put up with poor lume (I know it has a light function, but I thought Casio missed a HUGE opportunity with those bold markers!!

Enter SKXMOD and their newly launched configurator for making AP RO lookalike.
Not a fan of those, BUT, noticed they offer EXACTLY the parts I needed to fix Casios mistake.

So here you go, I FIXED IT!!!
The hour markers are as shock resistant as the original, as they are a plastic ring with prongs, LIKE the original, with lume nestled inside, so it can't fall off during shock!!

Hope you like it!!

Sadly I sold the GWF1000 Frogman as it was simply too big for my skinny version of my wrist (I lost 30% of my weight half a year ago)

VERY NICE and congrats on the weight loss (if desired, hoping not illness). I lost 24% and bought my Oris Upcycle to celebrate. Guess you need to buy a celebratory watch.

You could buy Amazon watch to see fitment on that yellow Rangeman, return it, then buy less expensive eBay one. Just sayin’

Very nice. Did you own and sell the GW-9400 in red or yellow that you had on the channel or were they on loan from Casio? I'm getting closer to buying one, but like you I lost a lot of weight lately and lost about .75 inch off my wrist (7.5 to 6.75) so want to try one on first.

Owned and sold! The yellow one that I wanted to keep had a bit weird screen compared to a regular one, like the numerals weren't as crisp.

At 6.75 it will fit, but will wear large. If you're used to the 5610 square it might look too big at first, but I think you'd get used to it.
Definitely try one on first, as that is on the border of being too big
