I prefer the 16710 to the newer iteration, it's significantly less loud, and it more resembles the watch the astronauts took up to the moon :) The newer one looks nice but feels more like jewelry.

I really enjoy the new 6-digit reference. However, I enjoy the smaller size, duller finish of the 4 and 5 digit watches. Having owned the 6-digit BLRO for 5 years now, I can confirm it's like wearing a small disco ball on your wrist.

Have had both 5 + 6 digit series. The 16710 didn’t get much wrist time as i felt more delicate or diminutive on my wrist. It rarely was worn in the many years of ownership.
My BLRO, BLNR and VTNR get way more wrist time. I’m in for the more robust 6 digit.

Is there such a thing as a 16710 BLNR?

As you requested. The spring bars are the OEM to the 16710.

You can't go wrong with either, but I will prefer 16710 it's a more better watch IMO.

Watches are all about emotion. They are about character. The watches of today, just like the cars of today (as a matter of fact - much of today's manufacturing come to think of it) lack emotion almost entirely.

For me, nothing does it like the 5 digit era.

Pre-ceramic for sure.
I agree, although I would not go later than 993 IF I were interested in a Porsche, but then I suppose I would be looking for a 356.

Older Pepsis are better than the new ceramic. Works better for this watch.

It is all design-dependent and how it looks in total.

Either last of a run or first of a run, I love when someone has a historical reason for liking their particular watch. When they don't have, "A GMT," they have, "The GMT that ..."

I love the case size, fit on my wrist, and the bulletproof 3185 caliber movement in my P-serial 16710.

I must confess, though, that I really like the ceramic bezel inserts with the more legible font and resistance to dents, scratches, and fading. I also like the Glidelock bracelet clasps.

So, I fitted my 16710 with a ceramic insert and aftermarket clasp. For me, it's the best of both the five digit and six digit models, and I can change it back to stock in just a few minutes.

I prefer the 5 digit between the 2. Proportions are classic and feels well balanced somewhere between luxury and tool watch.

Bracelet is the game changer for me. The modern bracelet found on ceramic models is far superior.

I disagree. Maxi dial and triplock crown are just two of the things that make the newer models look better and more proportioned.

The 126710 is bulky with the maxi case. The proportions on the 16710 are perfect and more refined
