Glad you found the one watch you like the best.

Would love to be a one watch guy someday.

It's a great watch, for sure. The greatest of all time, though? You may want to wait until the honeymoon is over to make that determination.

Congrats.

The polar Exp2 is definitely an underrated watch and really the only sports model left in the modern Rolex catalog that hasn’t fallen prey to flashy ceramic bezels and precious metals. Nothing wrong with current models but the Exp2 still looks like the tool Rolex watches from decades ago.

I’ve the polar 216 and also the black 226. Can’t say enough good things about the Explorer II, it’s a stunning time piece. Congrats on the acquisition.

I can easily say the 226570 Polar is by far my favorite watch I’ve ever owned to date. Ok, yes, I just got it today but I’ve had enough to know that this is one that will never leave. And that can’t be said for any other watch in that photo below because they have all come and gone.

It’s the perfect watch (for me).

I concur that this watch ticks a lot of boxes. You can pull it off. Unfortunately, most of us can’t due to the long lug to lug length and the overall weight. I am hoping for a version in 39mm or 40mm to be released in the near future. Enjoy your awesome watch!

OP, did you own 3 EXPs and sell all 3? Bottom row of photos. Thinking there were all different? 36,39,5 and 6 digit?

I'd consider the EXP in the running for the GOAT Rolex. How come you let those beauties go?

Or is the last one an Oyster Perpetual?

It was just my 39mm Mark II with 3 different pics at the bottom. It’s an awesome watch!

I’ve always tried to just keep 3-4 in my collection at a time and with so many options out there it’s been fun to get some in and pass one on to someone else to enjoy. The last year or so I’ve leaned towards simplifying things, not just watches but everything.

So this is where the journey has taken me. Not yet a one watch guy though, rules say you must always keep a diver…

Thanks all for the positive feedback on the original post.

Never really appreciated the polar ExplorerII until purchasing one. Rolex last true "tool" watch. Wear it 95% of the time--my daily. Will never leave my modest collection.

If you're aiming for one watch, then I recommend adding an orange rubber to really change it up.
