Update: I received my 7097. I now have a new (to me) 7097. What a beautiful watch! I definitely need to change the strap though. Far too formal for my tastes. I’ve ordered a few nubuck and suede straps, and have a custom leather one I was going to put it on in the meantime.
Now here lies the issue. I knew about the set screws and difficultly changing straps going into it, but holy crap! I got the set screws out (those were rather easy), but I can’t get either of the main bar screws to move. It’s stressful even trying! Here’s a lame question for Tradition owners, but better safe than sorry. The bar screws are set screwing in the correct direction, right? It’s not a reverse thread? Just want to ask before my liver fails from drinking too much whiskey to calm my nerves. For reference, I used a Bergeon 1.00 for the set screws and trying the bar screw with a 1.20. I actually think a 1.40 would be better, and don’t own one, so now one is on its way to me. |

Congrats! A truly beautiful piece and IMO the nicest Tradition that Breguet makes.
I can't answer your question, but perhaps a Breguet boutique can -- maybe call one if an answer isn't forthcoming here. |
